Dallas Taylor (born August 30) is the former vocalist of the then Christian metal band Underoath. He performed on three Underoath albums: Act of Depression, Cries of the Past, and The Changing of Times. In 2003, Dallas was asked to leave Underoath. Dallas later said he was going through a rough time in his life and the band was not willing to wait for him.

In mid/late 2004, after going through a down period, Dallas reemerged with a new band, Maylene and the Sons of Disaster. They released a self-titled album on Oct 25th, 2005 signed with Mono vs. Stereo Records. After the release, Maylene and the Sons of Disaster signed to Ferret Records.

Dallas has been quoted as saying, "I am so fed up with people acting like cowards, and so tired of the many things I've lived for in the past," says Dallas. "I feel like it's time to get back to where I was when I was young. This band is proud of who we are as people, what we believe, and where we come from. I feel like so much of music today, especially those who come from a Christian background, spend so much time hiding who they really are, or being ashamed of their beliefs, trying to be 'scene' or to sell records. I want every kid to know I am not going to change who I really am to sell records. I mean, I absolutely hate shoving things down people's throats, but hiding who you are is just as bad."
He has a wife named Allison. They had a son Corgan Taliaferro Taylor was born January 29, 2006.

When not touring with his current band, he sometimes works as a window washer and delivers flowers on the side. He resides in Birmingham, Alabama.

As of February 2006, Taylor formed a new band with former From First to Last vocalist Phil Reardon. The band is called The New Tragic. He has since been forced to halt his involvement in The New Tragic because of his schedule with Maylene. It is possible that he will one day rejoin. He is also in a two person band called Everett.
