Twelve Days
I’m crawling into bed and these sheets are cold without you. To hold you in my arms. I know you’re in my dreams. I hear and smell the rain, the sound is a reminder. Of all these days when you’re not here. Closer though, not long to go. We’ll be together.
To Feel Dread
Tonight and tomorrow. So many emotions running through me right now. Pros for tonight are: Dying my hair, chills with my sis, The Getaway Plan, Comeback hangs, The Gifthorse and sleepovers at Elliot’s. Cons for tonight that outweigh the pros dramatically is that it’s my last night in my boys arms before he takes off out of the country for three weeks. Pros for tomorrow: IT’S FRIDAY, it’s the night of my show, I’m working Groove at Monstrothic. Cons for tomorrow are obviously the fact that I’m seeing Elliot leave. I’m so sad. I don’t want him to go but realistically, he has to. It would be a wasted opportunity if he didn’t go and I have to keep my chin up because I’m going over to be with him at the end of it. It’s just so tough. Saying goodbye. Regardless of the length of time. I suppose this is where I start singing “This distance is hard, but I don’t mind you got my heart, my hand, my life be mine. Don’t leave me behind...”
Weekend.
It was good. It started on Friday night – Hallowe’en. I couldn’t go home to get work clothes cos my sister had the keys and she wasn’t going to be back in time. So I thought, ‘no dramas, I’ll just pick something up before I go’ but do you think Supre had anything within my budget? No, no, no. I ended up wearing an Amity muscle shirt and my skinnies. Luckily it was metal night so I didn’t look too out of place. Haha. I finished relatively early and went back to Elliot’s for the night. Ah, love that boy. Saturday was spent shopping and getting tattooed. Oh my lord. I got my elbow done and I can’t even begin to describe the pain. I got my locket and on the inside of my arm, I got the keys and ribbon. Oh it’s so pretty. Well, at the moment my arm is kinda yellow, but apart from that, it’s so sweet. I’m such a pussy though. Stevie was mid-way through colouring the locket on my elbow (just above it actually) and I had to stop, it was brutal. I’m not booked in for another two months either but that’s ok, I’ll live with the semi-finished product for a while. Saturday night was spent in Club bar for a private party and I have to say, it was the easiest 7 hours of my life. So good. It hadn’t been cleaned in so long but by the time I finished with it, the whole place smelt like bubblegum! Mmmm. Sunday was chill day with Elliot, as usual. We watched a movie and just hung before crashing out at 4 in the afternoon and not waking up til 9! Oh my goodness, I missed two gigs because of that. Gutted. It was probably for the best though because obviously my body needed it. I saw an ad for Mountain Dew and had to buy a can. I’m such a consumer.
The Hive
Just over a week til I play at The Hive. I can’t wait for this show. It’s been about four months since it’s booking and the time has finally come around. The set opens with This Game, then follows on with The Impossible, Where You Were Found, Forever Trying, The Words, My Failing, Who Can Tell, Highly Flammable, (a cover – undecided as yet) Here With You, Holding You and then Two Streets Over. It’s a good set but I have to time it tonight to see how long it runs for. I’ve only got half an hour so I don’t want to go over that or people could get edgy. I still don’t know what cover to play. I really want to play The Shake by Kisschasy but I haven’t perfected it yet and I don’t want to mess it up – shame. Kinda like that time when I played Wake Up by Coheed and before I’d even started it, I’d forgotten the words. Embarrassment of LARGE. At any rate, it’ll be a grand old show and I’m so excited to be playing along-side Numbers Radio and Fushia. Woo.

Oh my gosh. So I received a call from a Marketing & Promotions company this morning and it's looking like my music will finally get the push into the big wide world soon enough. YAY. I'm very excited.
