Shouting [contest poem]

She is shouting to the world
But no one can hear her
Screaming to the universe
But the sound doesnt fill their ears
She yells in their faces
And try to draw attention to them
Pull at them, poke at them
But no one notices
She continues her rant
Trying to get her words through to them
She screams to the heavens
Make them hear me please
But no one can hear her shouts of plea
Invisible to the world and everyone around
Her screams and shouts
Leap from her mouth
Standing in the middle of them
Yelling in their faces
But no one flinches
As she feels invisible to the world
And everyone around her

Labels SUCK

Skin tight jeans, side bangs, and eyeliner
Oh she must be an emo they said from behind her
Collar popped, American Eagle, Abercrombie and Fitch, She must be a prep, that little witch
Shorts down to his ankles, nikes with no laces, and hat to the side
He must be gangster, with some bullet wounds to hide
These labels for people you do not know
For people that could be your friend
Not foe
So the next time you look at a person and are going to presume
Remember, they are not cambells soup with cream and mushroom

Life

Another day goes by
Like in the blink of an eye
Everything goes by quickly
As the days go on and on
Some people start to share a special bond

Break-ups and make-ups are a part of life
But this seems different from the rest
People look for a partner as if it were a quest
People change and some stay the same
Friends come and go

And some people that were your friends become your foe
Then they tell you that youve changed
And as you look back at months and years past
You realize how everything has gone by fast
But life is pretty sweet

Great friends new and old
As your stick out of the crowd bright and bold
And even though youve changed
Its for the best
Youre as good, even better than the rest

Some people are afraid
But we must accept the change
Even if some people think its deranged
Because its just a part of growing up
In this messed up world

Where things are spun and swirled
But we must see
That this year popularity is some peoples aim
As others stay the same.
