cheers to the strong. thanks to the brave. don't give up hope, some people change. against all odds. against the grain. love finds a way. some people change. i've always wondered what gets me about the rain, but then i look up and i know that its not the rain, but its your skin against mine. when we lay on the ground looking up at the stars, your heartbeat tells me theres nowhere better for me to be right then than in your arms. when i wake up and see you next to me, i want to go right back to sleep and stay tangled up in you forever. Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there. The serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson, or help you figure out who you are and who you want to be.
You never know sho these people may be: your neighbor, child long lost friend, lover, or a complete stranger who, when you lock eyes with them, you know at that very moment that they will affect you is some profound way.
And sometimes things happen to you and at the time they seem unfair and very painful, but in reflection you realize that without overcoming those obstacles you would have never dixcovered your potential strength, will power, or heart.
Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good or bad luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness, and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul.
Without these small tests, whether they are events, illnesses, or relationships, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere. Save and comfortabe, but dull and utterly pointless.
The people you meet who affect your life and the successes and downfalls you experience create who you are. Even the bad experiences can be learned from. In fact, they are probably the poingant and important ones.
If someone hurts you, betrays you, or breaks your heart, forgive them. They have helped you to learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to whom you open your heart.
If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but because they are teaching you to love and open your heart and eyes to things you never would have seen or felt without them.
Make every day count. Appreciate every moment and take from it everything you possibly can. You may never be able to experience it again.
Talk to people who you have never talked to before, and actually listen. Let yourself fall in love. Break free and set your sights high. Spread your wings, find the highest cliff in your heart, jump and HOPE to GOD you can fly, AND YOU WILL. Risk it all for the most important person in your life, for you never know when your last momenst you'll share will end. Walk on the wild side every now and then. It's worth it when you're doing it with someone you hold dear.
Create your own life and then go out and live in it.
Live every day as it were the last one you'd see. Every sunrise and set, laugh, tear, smile, frown, breath, and step might be your last. Follow those crazy dreams and ambitions you keep pent up in the back of your heart. You may end up in a zillion pieces with no hope, but, hey, you did it. You made it. That makes it all worth it.
Yesterday is history,
Tomorrow is a mystery,
Today is a gift.
That's why we call it the PRESENT.
Today is your new beginning. You get to go out and direct your own life story. Take every chance you get. Those aren't there by accident. Rewrite your life. Turn it around. Explore life. Let time unravel with the experiences you obtain. Make it all count.
So what are you gonna do? Take my advice and have the rest of your life to live, and I mean REALLY live? Do it ALL.
