Non-conformist

I see what you’re doing, your non-conformist façade. Snubbing those that think “inside the box” or “between the lines”. In your distaste for all that is normal or beige, you insult everything and anyone that falls outside of your circle of friends. Your strong opinions and superior views are shields you use, to stop anyone from getting in, or your real unaccepted self from coming out. On the outside you scoff at jocks and cheerleaders, you are better than them. You claim to be open-minded, but when someone else voices their opinion, you argue, saying anything to shoot them down. If an opinion is not yours, it is not correct. You sit with your friends during lunch, discussing the meaning of life, bashing and criticizing the poor souls that dare walk past you, or nod their heads in greeting.

You demand respect, but you are unwilling to give it, mocking authority and your high-school peers. One day you will realize that your opinions and tastes are mirrored back at you in your fellow non-conformists. Nothing you say or do is original, and one day you will see. You will realize that you are as shallow as a shower. In all reality you are as narrow-minded as a racist, as hateful as Hitler.

You will see. Your high-school days were wasted, mocking and criticizing, arguing, and screaming your opinion into the ears of anyone that would pause and listen. You wasted it acting, and putting on a mask, being the very thing that you hate the most. Conforming to the Non-conformist society. Copying the opinions of others, claiming them as your own. You are no better than the rest of us. Your so called “superiority” means nothing. You will see. You have become the very thing you hate the most.
