In my book he is legend is an extremely talented and absolutly an amazing band. there not exactly a metal band, or a typical rock band. Both albums they have out(probably a few more albums but..) are absolutly mind blowing. first lets start with
I am Hollywood: Not sure but i think he is legends debut album. From listening to the first song you can tell theres alot to this band. First the intro/verse very pop punk, popped out alot, then suddenly a metal breakdown(nto an open breakdown) but southern metalish, and not a bad one infact a really good one, then after that a poppy chorus pretty catchy, then a jam session part, doing solo's and such mostly found in oldschool rock bands, then chorus and another breakdown. first song was just nuts, you can see the influences very very clearly, and its hard to tell but they have one of the most talented bassists i have ever heard. He's mildely techniqual and very smart. He finds loopholes and just fills them up with beautiful bass lines.when most bands would just have the bassist double up for everything. There are songs that really express one influence more then the other. "China white" two rock/jam with a taste of hardcore/metal. "Eating a Book" more classic punk. "I am Hollywood" definatly hardcorel/southern metal. There drummer also is incredibly talented, definatly mixes different types of beats to produce a more fruitfull sound(More noticable in the album Suck out the Posion). There were alot of songs that you could just tell were leaning towards a more rock/jam band yet surprised you with a more solid format. now on too the next album

Suck out the Posion: Just as amazing as there last album. There last album was definatly very squeaky clean, that album being produced by The great Adam D. this album very dirty, and gritty just as good. it had a darker feel to it, and also had that overall southern feel to it. Metal/hardcore influences still there, there rock turned to more of a southern rock feel, pop punk feel was gone, except for there drummer always threw in pop punk beats to liven things up.Again everyone is equally as talented. They tuned lower then there last album, IAH was all in Drop D, they actually tuned to C. which seems so unlikely for but they did. Lyrically I Am Hollywood was awesome, but suck out the posion was Amazing, basically talking about a world unseen filled with fairy tales and such, hey i thought it was amazing.but really the songs speak for themselves. As i said before, there pop punk Influences seemed to dissapear, but there drummer kept up the pop punk beats for faster parts, very smart of him and shows much talent. There were also jazz instrumentals showing more musical progression in He is Legend. Music was much darker then before, showed much more emotion, and just dirtier and MUCH MUCH heavier.

Overall my feelings on He is legend is just that there an amazing band and make amazing music, and i can't wait to hear more from them

Look for it

i video taped myself screaming memphis will be laid to waste by Norma Jean

the thing was that the video camera or the PA system smothered my lower scream and gave it less clarity, i tried my best to mess around
i know its not my screaming because i've heard myself scream in a more proffessional PA system and at clubs and it doesn't sound that fuzzy so don't even pull that i suck at scream!!

i'm not amazing but i'm not bad, i'm just awesome :]

i'll put it on youtube when i figure out how
