hey so i slept in my own bed last night --well, from 2am to 12:30pm--for the first time in i think 20 days, and it was n-i-c-e-. [i'm feeling typ-y so this is going to be a long one, just a warning.] So i went to this thing called nylc (holla y'll) and it was amazing, if dorky,but not. hm. but i did meet probably the best people ever, and now they are gone. a few highlights, i will never look at the cascada 'everytime we touch' song the same again, i learned to walk like ron, pick up chicks, read a map, eat with chopsticks (ok, i already knew how to do that) iron, and use an atm. and sneak from room to room for sleepovers at night without getting caught. it was pretty much amazing.
and what of wyoming? i saw some moose-es, bears, deer, bison and lots of motorcycle bikers. LOTS of those. And yes, i was at the airport at 5:30 in the morning THE DAY the FAA decided to put that new restriction on liquids and gels in a plane thing. they made everyone throw out our water bottles, hand lotion, toothpaste, chapstick, sanitizer, EVERYTING! it sucked something nasty. we were delayed like 5 hours. boo. otherwise a good vacation though! i hiked a lot. eh, whatev.
Beachin' part-ay
I just got back from the beach the other day. It was fun, if crowded. We were down with a lot of my crazy family, staying both with us in our house and in the house next door. I think there was like, 20 people at one point. The funny thing is, my extended family is pretty wild, while my parents are really conservative. So we would all be sitting around the pool together in this huge, loud music-blaring group of people in bikinis and trunks doing raspberry shooters and laughing at the huge amish family on the other side of the pool. Though the threats of stripping never really happened, i think everyone around us felt literally harrassed, molested even. Later we had fun telling stories about the stupid stuff my one cousin would do when he was younger, poop in a shoe box and give it to his sister's boyfriend, give the girls at his table mayonnaise in a lotion bottle to rub on themselves [they did it for weeks!] and fill his dad's cream filled doughnuts with cheese wiz. ahhh.
today, i had a life!
yes, that is right folks, today i actually LEFT MY HOUSE and did something with friends. what a break-through. i usually do nothing all day in the summer so that is cool for me. even if all we did was go to the mall and be mall-freaks (i hate those). but it was fun. AND, i bought nothing, which for me is cool. trying to save me some green. cause i don't have a job. woo-hoo.
