What Religion are you?
I don't know if there has been a bad stigma attached with the word Christian longer than recent times, but I do know people today throw that association around cheaply. I mean we have "Christian" music that doesn't even talk about Christ, there are "Christian" clothes that I don't think Jesus would stamp his endorsement on, and there are people, who feeling a need for some religious association, call themselves "Christian" without really knowing what they are claiming to be. Because of this I choose rather to be just known as someone who believes the Bible is infallible. I believe that it was written by men who were inspired by the Spirit of God. I believe that if you claim to be a follower of Jesus Christ, then you must also allow the Spirit of God to direct your life through prayer and reading of his Holy Scripture. I am what you would call someone who is totally in love with Jesus and wants to live my whole life just to please Him because of what He did to take away my Sins. Religion is Religion no matter what way you package it. Religion tries to disguise God's truth and turn it into methods of self-justification. God's Truth is that God made Man; man rebelled against God and committed Sin; God being the Judge of the Universe must uphold the Justice of the Universe and punish Sin; God having everlasting Love for his creation didn't want his creation to suffer the penalty of Sin, God punished himself, taking on the form of a man to represent mankind, He became Jesus Christ and took the punishment for our Sins and left us with the message of God. We are left with a decision to make. God has shown us the way to salvation, but the Bible says that we must come to Him with Faith. We must have Faith that God is good, we are just men and women (his creation), and we need salvation. There are very few people who will humble themselves and admit this. The Bible says that the road to salvation is "Straight" and "Narrow" and only few will find it, but the way to destruction is "Wide" and "Broad" and many will go by it. Just listen to the things that are being said today! "There are many ways that lead to God, just do the best you can and find your own way." Who came up with that idea? Man! We can't Save ourselves! We must look to our creator (The God) and ask Him to give us the gift of Salvation from our sins, so that we won't suffer the punishment.
I have been on a search for Truth for about 4 years now, and I have found more and more each day that Jesus is exactly what he said that he was.
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
John 6:33, 35, 48, 51
For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world."
And Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.
I am the bread of life.
I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.
John 11:25 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.
John 10:9 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.
John 58-59 Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM." Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
Jesus claimed to be The God who was and always will be. He claimed that in order for men to find salvation they must go through Him. He claimed to be the only way. I know that to many people this statement is a knife to the heart, and I understand why it hurts. It is a direct standard held against our pride and dominion we desperately cling to. The fact of the matter is that if we cant decide our way to salvation, and we have to depend on God for that need we have, then we would realize that we are not in control. That is a scary realization many people dont want to make. That realization brings all of our Sin and Foolishness to Eternal Light. It is exposed and we realize our nakedness before God. Just as God provided the covering for Adam and Eve when they sinned against Him, and realized their nakedness, God has provided a covering for those who today will realize their nakedness before Him!
Everything I have written is simply a brief description of the truth I have found in Serving Jesus Christ. I dont mean for this to be viewed as religious propaganda, or to viewed as a direct attack against someone else. I understand that many people have been searching for spiritual truth just as I have been and have come up with completely different beliefs. My intention is plainly just to share the treasure I have found after searching very diligently and encourage you to enjoy it with me. Jesus is everything He claimed to be, but dont take my word for it. Find out for yourself. Ask God to reveal himself to you today and lead you to fulfillment.
Funny Story!
TRUE STORY: Carjacking Foiled: An elderly lady did her shopping and upon return found 4 males in her car. She dropped her shopping bags and drew her handgun, proceeding to scream at them at the top of her voice that she knows how to use it and that she will if required.... so get out of the car. The 4 men didn't wait around for a second invitation but got out and ran like mad, where upon the lady proceeded to load her shopping bags into the back of the car and got into the drivers seat. Small problem , her key wouldn't fit the ignition. Her car was identical and parked four / five spaces further down. She loaded her bags into her car and drove to the police station. The sergeant that she told the story to nearly tore himself in two with laughter and pointed to the other end of the counter where 4 pale white males were reporting a car-jacking by a mad elderly white women......no charges were filed.

I don't know about you, but I can't stop clapping my hands! I just have so much to be happy about. I have made a list of all that I am happy about. Here is the list:
Jesus
Yeah, some people may say "what kind of list is that?" Let me tell you something. In that 5 letter word (name) is held all that we need to be fulfilled! Jesus has taken the punishment for our sins. I have been forgiven because he willing accepted to spill out His blood for me even though He did absolutely nothing wrong. I am so happy that I have been forgiven and I am now right with God. I was faced with a choice. Every one of us is faced with the same choice. Will we humble ourselves and admit that we are sinners and we need forgiveness? Will we turn to God and accept his way of salvation; or will we stand against him in pride, and "decide our own truth"? Will we follow the example of Jesus and live submitted pure lives to the one, true, Almighty God? We have to realize that it is us who have the problem. We have gone wrong. Not God! He has done everything right. The reason there is so much pain in the world is because of the evil that is within our hearts. No one is good. Everyone has sinned! We can not be made right on our own. God loved us so much that he sent His Son Jesus to represent mankind. God became man to stand in our place, and even though He became man He was sinless. He was the only one who could take the punishment for our sins. If you know that you are not right with God and you would like to be, just talk to Him (He is everywhere) and ask Him to forgive you of your sin. Thank Him for sending his Son to be punished for you. Turn from your sin and turn to God. He loves you and He will give you His Holy Spirit to help you live for Him.
I believe God wants to draw someone to Himself. You more than likely dont know me personally, but I love people. I am not trying to push my own agenda. I love people so much because I have been shown so much love! I want people to experience the same peace and love that I have; the kind than can only come from knowing Jesus Christ. If you dont think Im for real, shoot me a message and let me know what you honestly think of this blog. I really admire honesty. But if you believe what I have written is true than dont waste a second more of your life! Get right with God. Live for God here in this life and you will be prepared to stand before Him in the life after this one. All I can tell you is that I am a life changed. :-) Thank you, Jesus. I love you!
