Lies for the Liars

Has anyone heard the new Used album?
My boyfriend sent me the songs and it is really awesome so far.

I was never really into The Used before seeing it was more mainstream than I was into although it's not considered mainstream in the mainstream.

You'll have to excuse me, I am the biggest music snob you will probably ever meet. I'm very passionate about my craft and what I do for a living.

Well, getting back to the album, I found most of it to delectably suprising in the best of ways.
The first 15 seconds of The Ripper is really awesome and overall it's pretty good.
Pretty Handsome Awkward is a little too short for my tastes. I tend to lean more on long guitar solos and bridges that last a lifetime, but that's just the Queen fan in me.
The Bird and the Worm reminds me of the typical Tim Burton movie. It's quite fun. But like I was afraid of when I began listening to The Used and then main reason for not listening before was because it did sound a bit mainstream and typical.
I think my favorite song was Hospital only do to the fact that it brought a reminiscing sense of My Chemical Romance. It was as if I could faintly smell MCR while listening to that song.

The opening intro. for Liar Liar had to be one of mya favorite intro's EVER. I loved it.

Smother Me was a tad bit on the sappy side. I hate it when bands end an album with a don-tempo song.
To me I think it would be great to end it with a BANG! rather than the typical ending.
Kinda like life. [lawlz]
In all honesty Smother Me sounded like it belonged on the playlist my ex made me when we were still together.
It was nothing but HIM and other sappy crap.

Over all it was a good album.
I'd give it a 7.5 out 10.
It was okay.
Again, I'm a tough critic and I was never quite partial to The Used.

Isn't it funny that when you go to shops with your friends you look down at the girl with black jeans and studs on but smile at the girl wearing a mini skirt and a shirt that barely covers?

ISNT IT FUNNY that you don't mind your friends drinking and smoking but the minute someone mentions emo music you can give them a lecture on melodramatic teenage outcasts?

ITS SO FUNNY that you and your friends can make a girl's life hell and not know anything about the silent battle she might be fighting?



ISN'T IT FUNNY that you can call emos, punks, and goths the retards but still manage to get through your day without an inch of guilt in your heart?



HOW CAN YOU CALL A GIRL A POSER, HOW CAN YOU SAY "YOUR NOT EMO" OR "ATTENTION SEEKER" WITHOUT SPENDING A SECOND TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHY THERE ARE CUTS ON HER WRISTS AND WHY SHE SPENDS HER LUNCHTIME CRYING INSTEAD OF LAUGHING WITH HER FRIENDS?
