being yourself is wrong!

So ya want to know what I dont understand? Why do parentes try so hard to make their children into what they want them to be? huh?! Why cant they just let the kid be who ever the heck they want to be. I mean what if someone wants to be a singer or in a band or something. You know the rents are gonna try to make him into like totally the opposite or something. Why do they do that? Like me i want to be able to be myself around everyone even my rents. But when i do they tell me Im wrong or I need to act different. Just because I like to have a lil bit of fun in my life. I thought your parents were suppost to teach you to be yourself. And then once you are they tell you you need to change. Whats up with that?
