It's quarter to 6 on the morning of my jury. Those ADD meds are something, huh? Anyway, I don't really have much to say besides the fact that I am happy and I hope you are too. Oh, and Wilfred is on purevolume now (www.purevolume.com/wilfred). As much as I hate plugs, I can't help but let it be known because it's worth checking out. And that's from a completely unbiased point of view. (slight chuckle) I should probably get some sleep though.
Dedicated to my Friends
So, I was just thinking about the awesome weekend I had, and the Ataris' "In This Diary" starts to play on my computer. How fitting, right? I've gotten to the point where I've realized I have to enjoy my youth while I still can. It might be the fact that I just turned 20, or the fact that I'm starting to realize what I want out of life, but I need to stop overanalyzing the details, and let life happen.
I watched a sunrise for the first time in who knows how long, and as I was sitting there, toes in the Merrimack and friends by my side, it all made sense. That night I started partying at about 8 and didn't go to sleep until 10 in the morning, but I was the most awake I had ever been. I really can't even begin to describe it, so I'm just going to say, to my friends, I love all of you. Thank you for putting up with me and thank you for growing with me.

I retract my rant about the Brand New show...
Anywho, I really don't have anything to rant about. Well, not anything relevant to the world that surrounds us. The band has just recently recorded a rough demo, which is cool. It should be on our myspace any day now. We're also considering some line-up changes, which I am stoked for. My best friend is coming home at the end of this week, but I probably won't see her until the end of next week.
Oh, here's a rant. The next time you're thinking of bitching about something to someone (especially me), ask yourself two questions. 1) is this accomplishing anything? and 2) does the listener really care? If the answer to both is no, then don't bother. You don't complain about the shit you're sitting in. You get up and do something about it. That being said, I'm off to make nonsensical complaints to anyone I see sitting outside of the dorms.

I'm sick of being told what I should like. Generally speaking this is true, but specifically in music. I think I've been on this earth long enough to make a decision between what music I enjoy and what I'm not exactly fond of. I'm through with people giving me evil eyes whenever I say I don't like The Beatles or U2. Just face it, it's not my thing. I'm also sick of fucking elitists getting on my case when I listen to bands like Panic! or Taking Back Sunday. In the words of the great Ben Harper: "my choice is what I choose to do." Of course, he was talking about smoking pot, but it applies here as well.
There's a very big difference between suggesting music to someone and forcing it upon them. That being said, whenever I add a song to my purevolume playlist, I suggest it for all my friends. I also constantly check the music suggested by my friends. What I'm trying to say is suggest music so that people can make up their own minds on whether or not they like it.
