I wear a mask to erase,
All the pain on my face.
To cover the tears,
And hide my fears.
To take away the scars,
And show the stars.
To bury my soul,
And make it look like I'm whole.

It makes it look like I'm smiling,
When deep down I'm dying.

I wear this mask to hide,
Because I hate that I cried.
I wear this mask to get away,
Because I'm afraid I'll stray,
From this world so tough,
I'm afraid I'll just say "Enough!".
