Riding your Bike in the Dark

i know its freezing but we need to fix this silence im making no noise and the rain just keeps pouring down, theres all kinds of faces and people on this side of town, we shut all out windows and we lock all our doors cus theres no one left here but uncertain noise. so just run away and live this lie, i forgot about yesterday and watched as all the hungry children began to cry. shut all the doors of success and we'll burn all the tassles. rip up all the boring speaches and replace them with lies of excitement. so lock all your doors and shut all your windows and if you get this far down and your nose is neatly pressed against the sick paper of incense, we'll get on our bikes and ride far far away.

the famous white lies that stain all our clothes, the shades of gray between black and white, you keep staring at the window and trying to blame me for all thats been done, but when it all comes right down to it its just you, yes its just you, we can talk on this one sided phone for hours and eventually come up with a soulution we'll steal the night and leave it all behind in the sand. but we know its no use this is only a dream and there will never be and end to the ingenious scheme. we'll throw in the towl and whatch this amused audience as we take a final bow. we'll walk to the end of this distant road and end up with all the smiles and tears, then staring at the old scenery now faded on the walls we'll walk away and never look back.
