Sometimes I wonder what life would be like without Jesus. Then I know what it would be like. Hopeless. Meaningless. Pointless. The reason we are here on this earth is to glorify God. I'm not saying we can never have fun, and we have to walk around witnessing all day, or anything like that. But I do believe that my purpose, the purpose of Christians, is to bring glory to God and help lead more people to the truth. For me life wouldn't be worth living without Jesus. . My life here on Earth is seriously really short compared to my eternal life once I get to heaven. Sure it might be embarrassing sometimes to witness, or to openly say I'm a Christian, especially to those who aren’t. But then I think of what God did for me. He died a terrible, cruel death so I can be saved from hell, and it's hard for me to tell people about Him?? When I realize how selfish I am it makes me realize how great God is, that He sent His own Son here, a place full of sin, to save us. Humans, when compared to God, are like tiny pieces of dust. But He doesn't treat us that way. He treats us as precious diamonds, if we choose to believe Him, and follow Him with our lives. That amazes me, how someone so great and powerful could begin to love someone like me. John 3:16 says "For God So Loved The World, That He Gave His One And Only Son, That WHOEVER Believes In Him, Will Not Perish, But Have Eternal Life" Which means no matter what you have done, whether your whole life has been filled with sin, or whether you have done your best to be good God still loves you the same. This may make you sick! Why do we sleep in church, but when the sermon is over we suddenly wake up? Why is it so hard to talk about God, but so easy to talk about sex? Why are we so bored when we read a Christian magazine, but find it easy to look at Playboy? Why is it so easy to ignore a Godly myspace message, Yet we repost the nasty ones? Why are churches getting smaller, But bars and clubs are growing? Think about it, are you going to repost this? Are you going to ignore it, cause you think you'll get laughed at? Just remember God is always watching you. 80 % of you wont repost this. The Lord said: "If you deny me infront of your friends, I will deny you infront of my father." please post this on ur blog and pass on the message!
Persecution
Have you ever been persecuted because of your faith? I've been persecuted before and for the longest time I couldn't figure out why people didn't like me just because I had a relationship with Jesus Christ but recently I found this verse in the gospel of John that really brought clarity to the situation. "If the World hates you, you know that it hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but i chose you out of the world therefore the world hates you." John 15:18-19. Once I had read that verse everything made more sense to me, because this world is run by satan, and he hates God, therefore the world hates God, and anyone who follows him.
It's not funny
Isnt it funny that when you go to the shops with your friends, you look down at the girl with black jeans and studs, but smile at the girl wearing a mini with a t-shirt that barely covers anything? Isnt it funny a emo can be quiet all through the week but gets more baloney from everyone than the girl who sleeps around and sells her virginity? ISNT IT FUNNY that you dont mind your friends drinking or smoking, but the minute someone mentions emo music you can give them a lecture on melodramatic teenage outcasts? IT'S SO FUNNY that you and your friends can make a girls life terrible and not know anything about the silent battle she might be fighting. ISNT IT FUNNY that you can call emos, punks, and goths the retards, but still manage to get through your day without an inch of guilt in your heart. HOW YOU CAN CALL A GIRL A POSER, HOW CAN YOU SAY "YOUR NOT EMO" OR "ATTENTION SEEKER" WITHOUT SPENDING A SECOND TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHY THERE ARE CUTS ON HER WRISTS AND WHY SHE SPENDS HER LUNCHTIMES CRYING INSTEAD OF LAUGHING WITH HER FRIENDS? KEEP ON LAUGHING! isnt it funny you can say and do all this without any idea of what is going on in this persons life without knowing her situation with her friends or her family or her life?
This is so sad :(
One night a guy & a girl were driving home from the movies. The boy sensed there was something wrong because of the painful silence they shared between them. The girl then asked the boy to pull over because she wanted to talk. She told him that her feelings had changed & that it was time to move on. A silent tear slid down his cheek as he slowly reached into his pocket & passed her a folded note. At that moment, a drunk driver was speeding down that very same street. He swerved right into the drivers seat, killing the boy. Miraculously, the girl survived. Remembering the note, she pulled it out & read it, it said: "..Without your love, I would die.
