A Post-Hawk Nelson Concert Review.

Let me tell you a story,

This story begins at 3:45 in the afternoon. This is when Kristen commenced picking me up at school. We began to drive, we drove for about 3 minutes. This is when we arived at the dollar tree. I went inside. I walked up and down the toy isle for about 3 minutes, only to find to my horror that there were no kazoozs.

We then commenced leaving the dollar store and continue driving. Several minutes latter we arived at Kristen's house to pick up her mother. This is where the large bag of candy arived. We comenced the eating of less than large amounts of candy.

We then contiuned on to pick up Erica (with a C). This is when she knocked the large pumpkin statue over on to the ground. After driving for a fairly routine 10 minutes we began to watch the amzing movive that was to be title, "Grease." Unfortantly, the DVD player was less than amzaing and the sound levels were far to low for anyone to comprehend what was going on. So for about 30 seconds Kristen, who knows the movie by heart, spoke the lines for us. That ended quickly.

We then moved on to cruzing through a mix made by Kristen. It had a varitiy of music, including a song that said, "Hate is a strong word, But I really, really, REALLY, dont like you."

After skiping basicly every song on that cd we began listening to a cd that had many a disny song on it.

This contuned for some time, this is about when we got stuck in traffic, only 5 minutes from the venue. A five minute drive then continued on to become a 25 minute drive. Kristen is afraid of bridges. Now we had arived at the venue: A super, uber, mega chruch. It was big.

After finding our seats we sat down. This was after getting posters from street-team guy and entering every contest that we were legaly alowed to.

After some time the concert began. First on the menu: Adie, Jeremy Camp's wife. She was decent, there were some driving guitars and some rocking bass, but it was nothing too special. Durring this Sarah, who had GA tickets but was told she could sit with us, had her ticket checked by the security guy. He hold her she had to move. Fortanatly she got to sit near her youth leader. It was all good.

There was then a short break. After this short break our main intrest walked onto stage. This intrest was Hawk Nelson. The began by playing The One Thing I Have Left, the lead off song from their new CD, go figure. The song was good.

Let me now break to tell you about the people around us. Seeing as how the concert was mainly advertised as a Jeremy Camp Concert most people showed up to see him. Therefore the people around us were not proticularly interested in doing any of the folowing: Moshing, Jumping Around, Throwing Up Their Rawk Fists, General Rocking Out. That made us standout a little. It was cool.

There were many songs played. Many were good. They played Hello, which is where the kazoo's come in. There is a kazoo solo in the middle of the song. Naturaly they band wishes to call an aduence member up to do this. Not only did they call a person who did not bring a kazoo (once again, we would have, but they were sold out), she had no idea on earth, how to play a kazoo. It was sad.

Now Hawk Nelson had finished playing. This is when jeremy camp came out to play. He played some good songs. I knew most of them, I didnt know some of them. Some of the slower songs were amped up to make them more jamming. Jeremy also did some short little sermons. They were actualy perty cool. It was good.

We now continued out into the loby to stand in line for 45 minutes. After this 45 minutes we got to meet the band and have them sign our posters. I explained to Jason Dunn about our Kazoo perdicement. He understood, I hope. Then they though that me and Sarah were going out, and she reponded, "No, I'm three years older than him." To which they responded, "So you're 12?"

Now we continued on to drive home. After 20 minutes we stoped at McDonalds to redeem some of these couponds we had for free icecream. By this time it was 11:30 at night. The McDonalds had lots of music stuff. They even had a thing that was sigend by N'SINC. There was also a fender guitar shaped table, and a TV.

We continuted to drive. We tryed to watch school of rock, it failed like grease. I fell asleep. I woke up at Kristens house. Then I went home. I walked in at 1:45..

The concert rocked.
