I got a feature spot on MySpace and all I got was 1200 friends

From a band that got placement on the MySpace Music front page, alongside Madonna and the Roots, for a solid week. Here are the numbers:

number of times their music was played: around 20,000
number of MySpace friend requests: 1200
number of mailing list signups: over 100
number of CDs sold: ZERO

Interesting. Muy interesting indeed. This is spawning some interesting discussion here and here. I wonder if we're getting the same type of results here at purevolume.
