Okay, it's been so long since I've posted something on here. I just thought tonight's show at the Knitting Factory was worth taking time to tell about. It was absolutely amazing. Shane from Daphne Loves Derby was there helping out with the merch.. hehe. Their performance was no less than spectacular. When they played, it somehow made me miss something there wasn't to be missed in the first place. Maybe it was the whole Gatsbys thing.. maybe not.
Oh and about Gatsbys.. Kirk's guitar pedal had a Gatsbys sticker and Volcano stick on it. And the sweet young couple next to me said.. "Oh hey! Look, Gatsbys American Dream! They like them too!..." The nerve, right? When my sister told me what they said, I was totally frustrated. "Are you kidding!? They ARE them..." But of course I was saying it to my sister in frustration. Luckily I had Kyle O'Quin to acknowledge me in that. I was standing right in front of him. He must've heard me and according to my sister, he was glancing over listening and smiling.
All in all, kick ass show!! Kay Kay needs to come back down again.
Great line up! I've missed Boys Like Girls twice, so thankfully I got finally see them. It was a great show at the House of Blues on Sunset in West Hollywood. Cartel and Permanent Me were great. Cobra Starship put up an entertaining show, but I'm not really a fan of them; and I don't think I'm indifferent towards them, either. It's just something about their style. Any who, the crowd was less than fun. You had half the crowd not ever attending a show before and very bitter towards others who just want to have fun; but that's totally expected from a show with bands such as Boys Like Girls and Cartel.
Complete insanity. My arms, shoulders, legs, and neck are really sore from dancing. And not to start on my throat... I would relive the whole experience again, regardless of me having seen them once before with He is Legend and Showbread. Great show; nevertheless.
Great show, great show. I loved it! Was more than welcome.. oh and a pleasant surprise by Kenny from The Starting Line just chillin' with his girlfriend. I think my sister and I were the only ones who noticed him. Very pleasant surprise! Other bands were good.. Curt Phillips, Say No More, The Transit War. Great, great...
Like the title says! They were awesome.. what more to say? My American Heart was amazing, Danger Radio and Valencia were also amazing. The crowd was just plain dead. It was pretty bad. My American Heart should have played another 2-3 encore songs, but the crowd was just standing there... it was horrible. It was just us folks up in front that were yelling for one more song. But it quickly died 'coz it was practically 5-6 voices yelling it out. I had fun, nevertheless.
