37-40Jesus said, "'Love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence.' This is the most important, the first on any list. But there is a second to set alongside it: 'Love others as well as you love yourself.' These two commands are pegs; everything in God's Law and the Prophets hangs from them."
*I'm 18 and I go to New Harvest in Sacramento. I love my ministry, I love to worship and I love Jesus Christ with all my heart, mind, and strength. He is my life. I love to hang out with my cousins (Leja, Jaime, and Elena) I love to be with my youth group-even though i'm the only one who's not mexican =/ ...haha. If you wanna talk hit me up =)
Storms
Sometimes when we start to drift away from the will of God in our lives, thing get a bit out of hand. It seems like the storms are crashing around you and you can't see past the rain and the lighting, you can't hear past the thunder or move past the violent wind. But like Peter on the sea, when the storm is raging around us, it is only once we take our eyes off of Jesus that we focus on the storm and the circumstances around us and we begin to sink. When we fix our eyes upon Jesus we rest in him, we are given the grace and the faith to walk on water in the midst of the worst storms in our lives and we can be kept safe and be filled with hope until the winds die down and the waves become calm and the sun comes up and we see the good purposes of the storms God places in our lives.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And lean not on your own understanding:
In all your ways acknowledge him,
And he will make your paths straight."
