warped.

So, I stayed with Paige(The Awesomest) Sunday night, we made a dumb movie, watched Old School, ate French Dip sandwiches and Strawberry Shortcake. We then went to bed at 10:00pm. Her cat kept waking me up by licking me and rubbing on me and hitting me and meowing. It was awful.



The next day we woke up at 6:15am and we were dressed and ready and out the door by 8:00am. Paige's Mom(AKA: MOMMY) stopped at a gas station and got some Ben & Jerry's Icecream(Chocolate Fudge Brownie). We listened to our MP3's on the way there. It only took about 2 hours till we reached our destination of Ladson Crossing/Charleston, SC.



We stopped by Burger King and ate before going to the Arena. We kept seeing people dressed like us walking in and as we were leaving, the guys that parked next to us yelled 'You Guys Going To Warped?!?!?!' and we kinda answered him back 'Heck Yeah!' and then they asked for directions. WE just knew it was a while down the road so we said that and then discovered it was about 3 minutes away.



We parked, got out, and walked into line. We watched this band called Family perform while we waited the couple of minutes it took to get out of the line, through the gates, and in the Arena.



When we walked around it was perfect chaos. People passing out Trojan Condoms and Fliers, Tents and stands set up everywhere, people selling Gatorade and Water: My Paradise. We didn't even make it all the way around the Venue before finding our first performance of the day.



Greeley Estates



Chaotic and perfect. I was about 4 yards from the stage and everyone kept moving so I could squeeze between people. It was ultra amazing becuase Ryan kept throwing cans of Vans Warped Tour Official Water at us and spitting it at the crowd and some of his spit landed on my arm and chest. I loved it.



So, after that we walked one way, then doubled back and ended up back at Hurley Stage and stood up front to see the next performance that we heard was going to perform from some kid that was in love with them. This is when we started sweating. It was hot and sunny and we kept blowing on each others faces to keep cool. We watched them set up before they entered the stage.



Plain White - T's



Tom was amazingly cute in person and we were only 2 yards away from him. He sassed off a couple of people personally for not buying their album. Then some girls behind us screamed 'South Carolina!' really weird and Mike picked on them and then mentioned that he wasn't funny when only a handfull of people laughed at him(me being one of them). I was standing right in front of Mike so I saw him stare down at me all the time because he looks down while playing when the sun is out. And De'Mar looks like a teddy bear in person and he makes the cutest faces when he's focussing on his drums. Then everyone but Tom left the stage and he performed 'Hey There Delilah' solo.



So, afterwards, we were both kinda tired so we sat down for a while and waited for our friend Kasey to come meet us. After she showed up, we walked around, met a cool band called Single File and listened to some demos and EP's from some awesome bands promoting themselves around like at every standard Warped Tour. Then Kasey and I happend to stop and see the next band for a song or two.



Amber Pacific



Amazing and SO hot. I was impressed for hte short time we spent watching them. I was only 3 yards away from their stage, so it was pretty sweet.



And then Paige joined us and we walked around a little more, catching a little of the next performance.



Patent Pending



Hilarious. That's the only word to describe it. They pulled a guy dressed in a whale costume(the one from their CD cover) and danced with him on stage to a cover of 'My Humps'. Then Paige and I walked away and lost Kasey.



Then we walked around to the two main stages and saw the end of the next performance.



The Academy Is...



Super hott. Only 6 yards away. Loud as fuck and amazingly hott. That's really all I can say about the one song I saw being performed.



So, we walked all the way back to where Mommy had parked herself and she scolded us for leaving Kasey, so we went to the next performance that Kasey said she would see. But first we made a pit stop.



Armor For Sleep Signing



We only stood in line for a few seconds but once we got through, I got a poster signed and Paige got her Converse signed. They were ultra hot up close and I only got to say hi cause they were really busy and looked kinda tired but it was wicked sweet.



Then we ran off to find Kasey.



Aiden



Mmm...Aiden. Five hot guys in full make-up jumping, screaming, and walking on the crowd. Yepp...People let them walk on their hands. We were only about 6 yards from this stage and Kasey, we found out later, was in the front row, center stage, as close as possible to Wil.



Since we never found Kasey, we left. And we made our way back to where Mommy was and there Kasey was next to her. Paige sat down and I ran off to see the last few seconds of the next band.



Everytime I Die



Amazing. I only got to see a few seconds but they were GLORIOUS because they did some amazing guitar solos by the end that I had never seen pulled off with such passion before.



Then Kasey joined me and we walked over to watch a tiny bit of the next performance, before running off again.

Hott, Hott, and Hotter! I was less then 2 yards away.



And then we found our way to the 'All Girls' stage and watched Britt Black for a couple of secnds(we were the only two girls over there...two guys were there too). So, when we started walking away the lead singer stops and screams 'You two get your fucking asses back here!' and we listen for a while...then when she turned around, we ran. She was threatening to come and get us and a few others who walked by.



We then discovered that Motion City Soundtrack was signing stuff in a few seconds and we watched them walk by, sit down, and a line form. Which we got in. Paige and I made a bargain that if she got to meet Justin, I could see the next performance that had already started.

All that really happend was we stood in a line, met a band called The Smash-Ups and they gave Kasey and energy drink after she bought their CD. She shared that drink with us. Paige got her other shoe signed and Kasey and I got posteres signed. Plus Paige got to hug Justin.



So then it was my turn to cash in on our bargain. We started running to see the next performance but as we were running, some guy stopped Paige to listen to their Demo so she screamed at me 'Go on without me!'...So I did.



Once I got there, I got off to the side, front row while the set was still being played. I was 2 yards away.



Hellogoodbye



Amazing. And let me just say that you haven't heard 'Shimmy Shimmy Quarter Turn' until you've heard it live because they had their keyboards and sound boards ready to pull off all the sounds in the CD. Paige showed up at the beginning Of 'Shimmy Shimmy'. At the end of the set they brought out: A giant hot dog in a Slipknot mask, a shark, a were wolf, a banana(that flashed us), a carrot, and a bottle of tequila.



Once they left the stage we walked around to pass the time between then(3:45pm) and the next show(5:10pm) so we walked around and heard something very familiar. Once the next song was announced, I knew who it was.



The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus



Amazing. Screaming, jumping, yelling, and the most amazing drumming I have ever seen since I saw Halestorm.



So after that Paige left to purchase a CD by Meg and Dia and I walked to the next stage to see another performance until Paige came back and then we both left ot wait for our 5:10pm appointment. As we walked, Superman(kid in a superman costume and gray undies on) almost ran over me and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus almost ran us over but they pushed us out of the way very politely and I realized it was them and said they did an amazing job and Elias turned around a thanked me before they ran off with their equipment.



We made it to the stage in time to watch the end of the last performance of State Radio, then watched everyone set up.



Armor For Sleep



Amazing. For their first time in South Carolina, they told us we were all 'Armor For Sleep Virgins' and they would just have to devirginize us. And Ben is SO hott in person. I was close enough to him to see the sweat dripping from his face. They were all amazing. 'Car Underwater', 'The Truth About Heaven' and 'Stay On The Ground'. I made a fool of myself because Ben smiled and waved at some girl in the back and I waved back at him and smiled.



So, after they left us, we waited next to 'Crowd Surf Guy'(guy who surfed the crowd from back to front, 4 times). A bunch of Teenies next to me were screaming for Hayley the whole time and telling Josh they loved him before anyone even came out.



Paramore



Oh. My. Gosh. AMAZING! Josh(Nice Ass) was so SeXXXii! And Hayley was amazing, Jeremey and Josh kept pulling tricks while playing guitar and everyone screamed. I was the only person in the front row who knew all the lyrics to their songs so Hayley pointed at me and smiled, They played stuff like 'Pressure', 'Emergency', and 'Whoa' before leaving us alone.



After they left, we walked around once more, saw the end of Motion City Soundtrack's performance, and the beginning of Less Than Jake's.



Then we went back to get mommy and Kasey left, then we got Paige's Warped Tour T-Shirt some guy stopped us to say Hello and told me I looked familiar and stuff and I knew not what to tell him so I left and he kept watching me.



So, we got out of there before Mayday Parade could catch us(they chased us with their CD asking us to listen).



So, we stopped at Taco Bell before we left Ladson and I checked my Cell Phone and I had voicemail. Surprisingly, The highlight of my entire day was that one little voicemail, even after that whole day.



So, we drove home and didn't reach there until 10:00pm. So I played with my MP3 and txted Emma a little.





The sensation you feel when the music at a concert hits your ears and vibrates your entire body is the best feeling in the world, but I had to pay for it with blistering sunburn and humidity, sweat everywhere and my straight hair turning to frizzy curls with all the rain. Plus my Vans got muddied. People loved my Boys Night Out shirt(especially some band from Canada who tried to sell us a $10 CD for $5).



So, I got to spend the day with my bestest friend, meet some HOTT band members and hear amazing music, PLUS talk to my seXXXii monkey(Nick).
