Me and my mates had the best night in a very long time!
RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS!!!!
I still can't believe it now while i'm writing this, i got to see them live in Coventry!!! =D
They were great, Flea even had a massive Bass outro to one of their songs, and the guitar intro to Califonication was brilliant.
We got to the Ricoh Arena (where the concert was at) at 2:00pm and had to wait in the blistering heat till 5:00pm.... :( We were then at the first few front rows waiting till 6:00pm for the cover band to come on, what was some band called Chick Chick Chick (Their logo is: !!!) who were actually a really good funky band. I recommend to anyone to try and download a song of theres, i've been trying to but i can't seem to find anything about them on the internet......
Anyway, it got to 6:30 and Chick Chick Chick came off the stage, then at 6:45 Dirty Pretty Things came on till 7:30... =D The only songs i know they sung was Bang Bang, You're Dead (which was their last song) and Deadwood (which was their first). After that i went back out of the mosh pit in the front to grab a cola, then i waited around for about an hour and legged it back into the front area, i was really lucky to ctually get up to the front row!!! :D
Then.............THE RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS CAME ON!!!
They were fucking incredible, they started off with Can't Stop, Dani California and Snow then sung an old track of theirs; Soul To Squeeze. I can't remember which order the rest of the songs went but they played By The Way, Fortune Faded, Califonication, Give It Away (that was their encore), Tell Me Baby, Charlie, Stadium Arcadium, John Frusciante sung and played How Deep Is Your Love by the Beegees solo, Otherside and a song off of their By The Way album which i can't remember the name of....(I'm not a big fan of that album). They did play another song which i never heard before, but it sounded really funky so it might of been one around the Mother's Milk era....Or it could of been a brand new one! Who knows!
That was my first concert! =D Now i've gotta get myself into a Muse gig!
