SOLO 67

okay, well, today's blog is about a really incredible band called solo 67. they are insanely amazing. they have a fun overall sound that sounds almost power-pop-ish, but at the same time you can tell how much work went into their music. every song is better than the next with this band. all of the instruments can be heard seperetly and all sound amazing on their own. they also come together really well without overpowering each other. here are some of the lyrics to the song "last thing" "You were the last thing on my mind a sure release of innocence a memory i left behind just dont get too close ill only leave you all alone to miss me all the most... and i know somewhere she's starting to think i wish i could just see you but its just so hard to get thru and when the past becomes the future im done" wow, these lyrics are like the exact opposite of every teenage pop-star complaining about love. "i'll only leave you all alone, to miss me all the most." this is so different from most songs, which pretty much all say the same thing "i love this person, they don't love me, it sucks." this song offers a different point of view and i really like that. this song starts out with slow and soft music, for about 5 seconds, and then gets really intense. the drums follow along and stand out all at once and the bass and guitar add a really good, almost melodic tune to this song. the song "the truth is" is also really amazing. this song probably boasts the best vocals of any of their songs. for about the first 10 seconds of this song there's not much music in the background so all you really hear is the singing and OH MY GOD it really took my breath away. when the music starts up the vocals fade into the music a bit, but they still sound amazing. "Stay, stay here if you want just so you know I can't promise much but this I'm sure, you'll end up giving up" those are the first lines of the song and they are sung SO INCREDIBLY. you really have to listen to this song. i absolutely love it. anyway, this blog has been kind of long so im gonna end it here, but go check out solo 67. i love these guys!
