tralala..I'm Rae and I love music....the concerts...the people....the whole deal. I play alot of instruments, but I really want to learn how to play guitar awesomely...i have two...just havent picked them up to actually learn yet. I'm a fan of the emo....the punk....the jpop...the indian rock....and pretty much anything disgustingly pop.....but i'm mostly a rock-based human.

FoB

so went to FoB on the 23rd....a sunday....got in around 130am, didnt go to school on monday, and mom permitted it. It was a great show, October Fall, From First to Last, Hawthorne Heights, All American Rejects, and FoB it was so awesome. All of the bands had good sets. FoB had pyrotechnics and like 4 backdrops and a huge over-curtain....and a costume change. In between songs Pete would talk and at one point, he says, "don't say 'this band is gay,' or 'these guys are fags,' 'gay' and 'fag' arent synonymous with 'shitty'...if you think a band is shitty say 'this band is shitty'....but if you want to keep being homophobic assholes, then return our merch, all the tshirts, we dont want your dan money."......yet another reason to love Pete Wentz (as if we needed any more)...why doesnt the lead guy ever speak? Whats with Pete doing all of the PR stuff? the world may never know. My cousin got so drunk at the concert and he spilled beer on some 14 yr-olds...it was really funny, you know they were going to get in sooo much trouble when they went home smelling like beer. Before we went into hara arena, the security guards took all d-rings and studded belts...it was sooo ridiculous, luckily--i own neither....and the tickets (which were supposed to be general admission---only generally admitted us into the stands and there were only like 2oo people on the floor---i felt bad because the bands probably thought it be a hopping place....but the floor looked desolate. ridiculous.)

Anywho, best time ever in the history of the everness...

Acadia, The Fully Down, Versus the Mirror, Boy Sets Fire

yeah so friday was awesome. Went to see four awesome bands. Acadia started...theyre just a little high school band, but i liked their stuff on purevolume, so i went ahead and saw them---one of the band wasnt there--so it was kinda bad, but i still think theyre good. Next was The Fully Down....aka.....the fully beautiful!!!!!!!!! OMG.....they were so awesome....they started out with a really weird 1940s sounding song on the speakers, then they cut that then started being amazing....they blayed something that sounded like carole of the bells for an opening interludey thing. It was sweet. Gab, the lead singer was wearing some great pant---tight, but manly tight---and for some reason, by the end of the night, his pants were on the wall....and he was nowhere to be found...it was kinda weird....scratch that, really weird. So, back to the show...it was great, there are 6 guys in the band and like 2 roadies...during the show gab disappered for like a guitar solo then appeared above me, chris, brit, and ash's heads and was screaming into the microphone on top of a speaker----it was GREAT....then throughout the concert we were standing a) in front of the speakers, and b) in front of george and the guitarist with the shaved head. George had these awesomely tight pants with this hole in the crotch (patched up---but the seam came undone during the concert, those power stances are killer) in the middle of the concert at another guitar solo, gab was shakin his butt, it was really funy, then h did the thing where he drank wated and spit it up and it got all over the front people (i.e., me and my crew).....ive never loved someones saliva so much, lol ;), jk....after their set, george walked down on the floor and we all said hi--like abunch of schoolgirls--and he started talking to us...saying he appreciated us, blah, blah--and i told him i found him on purevolume and came to see him because of it....he and the band and the roadies needed a place to crash that night and because my mom isnt cool and our house can barely handle 4 people, he couldnt stay at my house---nor any of the others.....i made up for it though---i spent $35 on merchandise....that shouldve bought food/gas/hotel or something....more about the rest of the show later....ttyl.

yeah awesome bands

my brothers bought me a ticket months ago to go to the dayton show with FoB, Hawthorne Heights and All American Rejects with them and my cousin...my moms been like "youll go if youre grades are good enough" and never actually said NO i couldnt go, but apparantly due to the fact that my rother pissed her off and I pissed her off when I was 15 minutes late afterschool, she said I'm not going. Now, I didnt get a birtday/christmas present from either of them because they bought the ticket...and I was going to be in the musical at school this spring, but the concert was on one of the performance days so I didnt, now apparantly it was all for naught and shes blaming me. What an idiotic psycho retard....eh well I'll be moved out by (at least) next january...then she'll cry and complain about how much she misses me, but I'll never answer her calls or visit and she'll be overtaxed with an empty nest and no one to love her. Thats what she gets. Anywho, I'm going to warped tour, the emerson on the 28th, the MayDay concert on may 27th, and doing pretty much whatever I want all summer...she'll have zero say in anything...even on our lame expedition through canada....not that canada's lame, but the stupid "worlds biggest fish," which is just a huge fiberglass atrocity, is definately lame.

god i love this place

ive known about this place for so long because i follow all of my friends bands.....but then i never actually caught on to the idea that i could be on here....its so much rad-er than facebook and myspace----and this isnt blocked at my school.....double rad

Circa Survive, Sybris, Drive By, Days Away

Escape Plan.......everyone should buy it....highly recommended.......Saw the Circa Survive/Sybris/Drive By/ Days Away show last friday....had to buy a new outfit for it, two of them were going on tour with MCR, I had to be presentable.....it was pretty much the best thing ever, a couple kids in the audience tried to make a couple of their friends make-out, great stuff, then on of them later asked the lead of drive by to have sex with him.....pretty funny face that he made when it his him he was like "wait, what?" then later during the beginning of circa's set, colin was singing all a capella and great when this kid in the front goes "hee hee" in a michael jackson way and kind of ruined the moment, but colin kept on rockin....and also during his set this kid was crowdsurfing and this jerk pushed him really hard and he went flying onto the stage and shabam, he had no where to go---so shrugged his shoulders and walked off backstage, narrowly missing the bassist's craziness, it was great.....best thing was when i got to talk to drive bys singer, a total jesus in his own right, and then also when my best friend asked the bassist from sybris to hold our drive-by merchandise until the end of the show.....hahaha, he was like "you could buy some of our stuff" and we didnt even acknowledge the comment, but talked to him just to be nice about it.......mmmmm, drive by.........o yeah and the circa survive guy colin, has an amazing stage presence, but he does this weird thing when he grabs hands of people in the audience, its kinda sweet.......and i would kill for that moment, but--all the same, its kinda weird---amazing voice...pretty rad
