random act of kindness...i went to pico de gallo with my friend ashley, and some random waiter, who wasn't even ours, came over and said "i see you already have napkins, but how about these:" and he pulled two roses folded out of napkins from behind his back :) then preceded to say "happy belated valentine's day and have a nice day at school today!" it was so cute and so unexpected. we have been smiling since then. such simple things can really make a difference. it wasn't like he was hitting on us, or trying to pull some cheesy line out of his pocket. in fact it was the first nice thing any guy has done for me over the span of about a year and a half....so i suppose my idea that they are ALL jackasses has been slightly disproved. just a tad.
