I wish I could say I am completely appauled that this happened, but truthfully, I am not.

I doubt many of you know this because it's been completely ignored by our local media.

About a week ago, the band Cut Throat was playing a show in Leominster, and it lead to the worst case of police brutality I have seen thus far in my lifetime in this area.
this was in a bulletin from one of the band memebers brothers on myspace with details of what happened:
I just got a call from mike, my brother Andy was tackled and arrested by the Leominster cops while trying to load up equiptment.
For those of you not at the show, this is the story Mike just told me:
the show had a fight and was broken up by cops. The cops shows up and knocked the mic out of Andy's hand and shut down the hsow. Was throwing kids out onto the street.
After all the kids were shuffled out, Cut Throat started loading out equiptment. The cops kept giving the bands shit telling them no one was allowed back in. Cut Throat was only trying to load up their equiptment peacefully to leave the show and go home.
They kept pushing the band members trying to get a rise out of them , and finally while andy was on his way out holding a guitar head, 5 cops tackled andy to the ground and beat him. Equiptment may have been damaged.
While andy was pinned down and being arrested, Scott, CT's bass player, was demanding to know why Andy was being arrested (because he hadnt done anything). The cops kept telling him to leave, and finally , they maced him. They also maced the drummer Martin and his girlfriend. Then , for reasons unknown, they tried to arrest Joe. He is on probation and wouldve got fucked for a bogus charge, so he tried to flee. The cops chased him down and beat him with battons so bad that he is in the hospital right now.
Right now, mike is outside the leomister police station trying to get Andy out of jail, and im sitting here 3000 miles away going crazy cause my brother is in fucking jail and getting fucked with by bullshit cops.
I am so fucking furious and if i was there wouldve gotten arrested for punching an officer in the fucking face if i saw this.
My point is this, ive been through bullshit liek this before with small town cops. They did everything a cop shoudlnbt do, and abused power. Those fuckers are going to charge them with bullshit charges like "Disordly Conduct" and try to peg andy for assault on an officer to justify the tackling. Small town cops know small town judges and are all close knit with the town goverments and they will all cover for each other.
ANYONE WHO WAS AT THE SHOW: write to the papers, give statements on how the cops were totally out of line and deserve to be brought up on charges. That this abuse and misconduct WILL NOT be tolerated. Bring these assholes into the media. Cal the newspapers, Television, the Leominster town hall. I want these fucking cops asses on a fucking platter.
Everyone make as much of a stink about this as possible. i want those cops disgraced and made and example of. Just because kids have tattoos and are playing all ages shows doesnt mean you can beat on them and fuck with them and get away with it. This kind of bullshit is why all ages shows get a bad name, and it needs to be a public that this show was going fine until the fucking gestapo showed up.
A officer of the law is a highly honorable position and should not be abused or taken lightly. They all took an oath when they became officers and are now accountable for abusing their power.
They will want this to blow over and be swept under the rug, show they they are entering a world of pain.
I know i sound urgent, but i just got a call that my brother got beat on by police for no reason (anyone that knows Andy knows that he is a great kid and wouldnt mouth off to cops or cause a huge problem). Im so furious, i want to fly home and HUG the whole fucking town of Leominster.
Anyone and everyone please get involved with this. As i find more about the story and details i will let people know.


This is complete bullshit. It shouldn't happend anywhere, let alone here, where we pride ourselves on equality and often let our "superiority" get out of hand.

DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! These kids are in jail for being beaten by the cops! That's RIDICULOUS! I am so glad how much the Mass Hardcore scene has really come together and got their backs since this. That's how its supposed to be, why we are a family.

To my scene, to my neighbors, to everyone who cares: this is an opportunity for change, to gain further respect and to serve justice where it's due! Write to newspapers, exhaust all your connections, just get the word out.
