Okay, my name is Patricia. I'm 15 now and a sophomore, soon to be a junior, in high school. I live in Washington, D.C. Some people describe me as shy...others say I'm an overachiever which I know I am. I always do homework when no one else does, I'm a teacher's pet, and I'm the only sophomore in my school in AP Calculus AB. And correction: I am not a nerd considering this year's grades. I've been having a hard time at this new school with my French teacher and my Chemistry teacher. I really need to raise my grades. I like to read and write. I have written a few "novels", more like manuscripts but I'm probably never going to get them published because I hate them. People say I have low self-esteem and I guess I kind of do in some cases. I care about others and I want to change the world. It's depressing because there's nothing I can do. But I start small. I have a lot of aspirations. Patricia ran for Secretary
I ran for secretary of my school. I had to speak in front of my whole school which was kind of scary since 1500 people attend my school. I thought it was going to be an easy shoo-in but it wasn't. I ended up running against my friend Natalie who still hasn't responded to my facebook wall post.
I lost.
The 10th grade class has a lot of people in it so I thought everyone woudl vote for me since Natalie is a junior. And people hate Natalie (but not me) because she's like a singer, actor, writer, etc. But I didn't win. I'm not really sad or anything, I guess I kinda expected it because I'm me.
One of my friends in Natalie homeroom told my sister that the homeroom teacher that turns out to be my current Chemisry teacher said that the teacher, Ms. Okoro, forced everyone in her homeroom to cote for Natalie. The friend said that she wouldn't collect the ballet if they didn't even though they wanted to vote for me. Should I tell anyone about this? I mean, I don't know if I can trust this friend. And I don't want to go up to some random person in that homeroom and ask them. I guess I'll leave at that though. I don't want to embarrass myself twice.
