You want to live your dream,

But loved ones disagree,

They can yell, they can scream,

But they aren't gonna stop me.

This, I love with all my heart,

It's something I do pray for,

Don't let it tear us apart,

To you, I listen no more.

Please stop holding me down,

I've been waiting for this day,

I'll show you and this town

That I'm better than ok.

This is what I love,

You don't understand,

The God up above,

He's believes I can.

You push me towards the wrong path

And God knows that's not right.

Please, I've done all the math,

And my dream is now in sight.

Where did it all go wrong?

Life was never this bad,

Time passed, it's been so long,

I just can't say I'm mad.

I'm lost in my head,

Wishing I wasn't here,

Just laying on this bed,

Living this life of fear.

A close friend is what I long for,

Someone that'll care,

A girl that'll make my heart soar,

And she'll always be there.

I want to fly far like the birds,

I really don't know what to do,

Trying to find those right words,

All I can say is," I used to."

I call you, Sunshine,

Your smile brightens my day,

A warm heart so kind,

Like a blanket keeping the cold away.

A soul like yours is one of a kind,

It's you that I saw and didn't miss,

Can I get a pic for all mankind,

To show them angels truly exist.

The day that we met,

You made my hands shake,

You made my palms sweat,

But meeting you wasn't a mistake.

When I first saw you smile,

My heart had no clue,

It didn't take me awhile,

Till I fell for you.

Here's my last rhyme,

You're lovely like art,

But guilty of one crime,

You've stolen my heart.
