Happiness behind doors we hadn't known
Lifeless hands locked us in
False colors, false home
Love to you, adversaries
We smile at you while our faces break the water
We become content
Like fools parading carelessly
And so I lay in disbelief
Wondering what has happened to me
The world at my side but under my feet
We drown no longer
Our backs forever floating on the surface of the sea
Wonderful things beyond the sunsets we have seen
Selfish souls held us back
Calling us close friends
Forgiveness to you, peaceless men
We run and scream into the horizon
Where are intelligent minds when we're up in the air?
Never again will they tell us to come down
Eternity is now
Now is forever
Free and flying, fear-defying
This is who we are
