I Guess I'm Going To

start using this blog as a journal again. I feel like it. Read if you want-hopefully enjoy. I haven’t been on as much lately, because of track, which usually I wouldn’t care, but I’ve been working on FeelGood Fiesta.

In case you don’t know what that is-you probably don’t-it’s a show I’m putting on in my backyard. It’s not going to be that simple, so I’ll explain. I was booking this year’s Skeet Fest and among all of the gaurentees, venue charges, and presale tickets I realized that the one thing that has always loved me back just as much as I love it-music-has been turned into something about money.
Yes, it would be a huge, fun show. Probably even better than last year’s, but I’m a promoter among promoters putting on something that’s only an attempt at duplicating something our state has plenty of (see: DOOMSDAY, BLED FEST, Gore Fest, Dirt Fest, Motorcity Metal Fest, Autopsy Fest etc.).

So, I decided to do something good. A benefit-fest. First of all, I have to remove the money (benefit show). This is nearly impossible with a venue (backyard benefit show). I want EVERYONE and ANYONE to be able to make it ($3-multiple music genres). Lastly, help out some people in need (sponsors and bands come together for networking as well as giving all proceeds to To Write Love On Her Arms). Now, I have something fun and respectful for all to enjoy. Sweet.

I just got home from Jennifer’s and I can’t wait until she gets home from work. I miss her already.

If someone finds me a job, I’ll give you half my first week’s pay.
