This may make you sick! Why do we sleep in church, but when the cerimony is over we suddenly wake up? Why is it so hard to talk about God, but so easy to talk about sex? Why are we so bored when we look at a Christian magazine, but find it easy to read Playboy? Why is it so easy to ignore a Godly myspace message, Yet we repost the nasty ones? anthony burger : (

i've been thinking lately about the late Anthony Burger. He died last year in the middle of a performance. (he was only 44) Just to fill u in, he was the greatest piano player EVER!!! when he was just a baby, his hand was severly burned. the doctors said he would never be able to use his hand again...boy did he prove them WRONG!!! he started playing piano at the age of 3 and made his radio debut at only 5 years old!!! when i was in 3rd grade i saw him perform this amazing song. his fingers were a blur they were moving so fast. i had already been playing piano for about 3 years and he bacame an instant role model for me. i never got to meet him but did get to see him perform live....
the day i found out he died was just a couple days before one of my long time "friends" passed away(i knew him since i was 5). i continue to listen to his music and look up to him. but i always feel like there is this big gapping hole in my heart...he is and will continue to be missed by many...

band banquet

I got back from our Band Awards Banquet a couple of hours ago. That was the best time i think i've had with the band since Showcase. I was so excited when i got the award of Most Outstanding Freshman!!! I worked so hard all year in hopes of recieving that. There was only one person i thought would beat me...my friend Devon. The only thing separating us was that i played 3 instruments this year, two of which i've never played before...i have so many great pics, my fav was the picture w/ my band director and me with my award. He is the best band director and teacher in the WORLD!!!! that is no exaggeration!!!! well i'm getting tired so i'll try 2 put some pics up ltr.
