How am I suppose to know?

How am I suppose to know
that you are real and
that your not fake

How am I suppose to know
that your not just telling
me lies just so that
you can get what you want

How am I suppose to know
if I can trust you or not?
I've been hurt too much
by trusting people.

How am I suppose to know
if your really a friend
or just another pretender

How am I suppose to know
if you actually love me
or if you are just trying
to fill in your own empty space

I don't know.
I don't know how I am suppose to know.
I don't want to be a fill in the gap.
I want to be friends,
I just fear for the worst.
I've been manipulated, and
I've been left with scares.
I've been told lies,
and now I have a hard time trusting.
I've told a lot of personal things
to people I thought were my best friends
now all we ever say to each other is hi and bye.

I want to be friends, I just need
some way to know that I can trust you.
I need to know that you are not
just using me to fill
in a gap in your own life.

I just want to be friends.
I want to do this God's way.
God please help us!
