an interesting thought.

i recieved this quote in a letter:

"...no one (almost no one) including you, is trying to find the truth. Everyone has some emotional attachment to their beliefs, then they invent stuff to support them. you grew up a Christian, [this person] wants to be cool, some people have bad experience with religion, or they have an emotioal event... maybe there are less emotial reasons, but most seem to be. I think that if you are going to truly consider whether your religion is true, you have to consider that it all might be a lie... really consider it, be terrified."

i tried it once.
it was a worthwhile experiment. difficult-- you have to have a strong will-- but worthwhile.
isn't it an interesting concept?
