Live Show Review: Lady Antebellum w/ Kacey Musgraves @ Manchester Apollo 15/7/12
Ok so I know this is my first gig review in a while, but here it goes. This was a great night it just was, both acts were great to listen to. The crowd at the Apollo was pumped and the night was a-go-go.
Kacey Musgraves
So the opening act walked on stage unannounced and started playing, one of those moments but the country singer-songwriter held her own with the Manchester crowd with a delightful range of mellow songs. Her sound was infectious and immediately likable. It was a smooth setlist, not a lot of communication with the crowd but there was something unspoken which made her feel warm and natural. To say the least I really enjoyed it.

Lady Antebellum
The mood was awesome and the lights went out the crowd went nuts... so the usual. Lady Antebellum got on stage and the crowd exploded with glee and joy. Opening with the killer song "We Owned The Night" and "Stars Tonight" it was due to be a rock n roll set. All the songs complemented each other to almost perfect fashion and the set was really well paced never having too many hits, slow songs or rock songs clumped together but just enough so that the set didn't seem too scattered. The crowd was really enthusiastic as well and joined in on pretty much every word which made for a great evening of fun and laughter. The was a point in the evening where a man from the crowd got on stage to sing "When you got a Good Thing" which was great in itself, as it shows the lengths they will go to, to put on an awesome show and to please their fans. Ending the show on the incredible "Need You Now" was just the cherry on top.

Overall, this was an amazing gig loved every second of it, the crowd was great, the music was great, it was a great evening.
