Hey! Thanks for stopping by:) Well, I should really introduce myself: I'm Alan, as of January I'm 21, I'm a Christian and I reside in the depths of Tasmania, in ye' old country known as Hobart. Jesus is Awesome! He is what keeps me going! I play guitar at an awesome Church.
I've just finished a film and design course at University, so that's been pretty exciting! but also a bit scary...[if you've got a free minute head on over to the links below to check out some of my work].
Music is a big passion and something I want to strive towards as a career. Guitar is my main weapon of choice. If your interested you can have a listen here. The Summer Of 2008
So I wake up and well, its Australia Day:) Well it's been quite a while since my last blog or real update, and i am not without excuse. 2007 was really a highlight year for me; being in my second year of my degree allowed me to know what was required and ace it. I wrote some new songs, made some new friends. Each year (in the summer holidays : jan) we share a shack for a fortnight with another family on the beach. This was our 6th year there! and it was as good as ever! I'll see if i can get some photos up.
So my summer holidays are drawing to an end; with only a month left. I'm looking forward to my final year, but i'm a bit scared of the work load=/ I've got a bunch of songs I would like to finish by then as well, because study really doesn't leave time for much else. I've updated my profile and whatnot, i think its looking pretty good now:) oh yeah if you want to see what i got up to for second semester of my emedia class check out Red Outside The Window
Now, above all else, God! He has been totally faithful to me even though i have not been to Him by a longshot. It is just amazing though how so many things that could cause me much grief and stress are just totally overshadowed by His grace! I ow it to God for getting me through 2007; which could have easily been my downfall i think. Just over a month a go my mum had a near fatal accident, of which i have no doubt would have killed her if Gods protection and healing wasn't there. Also I'm getting involved in starting a Church where i live, as there isn't one in the immediate area, so that has been cool and should be awesome when it's going.
I think I would often get caught up with things such as evolution and whatnot, because it would frustrate me the extent to which people entrust their lives to such fickle things and theories; and while being frustrated at these things is normal, i was caring more for the thing than for the people it was affecting. Sure i still brush up on my creationist knowledge, and would happily debate why i believe the earth is six thousand years old, I've began to put them aside and start to look at people. And by doing this I believe that it is also defeating such things at the same time. So and my brain is still firing up on this Saturday morning, I'm guess what I've learnt this past year is to focus on people, and show them true friendship.
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse. Romans 1:20 All anyone needs to do is to look at the world to see God. And while people say how can a God exist when there is pain and suffering in this world (which is a good question) the answer is shown through Jesus Christ, who has given us the gift of a perfect, eternal life. So while this world isn't perfect, God has done a far greater thing by offering us an eternity with Him, and what are the troubles of this life compared to that!
When I've had some breakfast I'll come back and edit out the mistakes:p
Also, Check out Karpenteres Kids! These guys are doing an awesome job making a name for both God and themselves through their music.

Quick Update 101
Okies, well im just at uni waiting for a class to start, as i write this im sitting in on a class watching some video on this 'artist' who puts hooks in himself and merges with robotics:O I thought you just might want to know that:P Anyway, things are GOOD here, although summer is now gone:( the weather aint too atm, but i do miss the warmth.....i sense an ice age.....
Anyway, I've got some good feeback on my album, a big THANKS to all those who have listened and supported me, i know my singing ain't the best, but its something im working on......i've got about 8 more songs that should go up soon, which will hopefully see an improvement.
Also if anyone wants to do a collaboration or whatnot that would be sweet, pm or email me or carrier pigeon me or whatever takes your fancy. LOL this video is getting way too strange for me, i guess thats what you get when you go to arts school:P
Anyway, class is about to start, so i better sign out...
