To get things started, I joined my school's colour guard over the summer (although some of you may have already known that), and to be honest it was one of the smartest decisions I ever made.  Even though I knew all the people in the band, considering I hang out with most of them, I made so many new friendships and have gained so many values from it.  I've kept out of trouble and found a new way to "destressify." It did sort of add drama in its own way (which was expected), I enjoyed it so much!  We are performing at our LAST GAME this Friday! :( I'm extremely sad about that.  We went to Upper State and gave MORE than everything we had...and got 9th place out of ten bands.  However, we put our losses behind us and are preparing to step it up next year!  So all you other 1A bands watch out!  We're gonna hit ya hard!

Next thing?  I decided to do something TOTALLY crazy about two weeks ago...I dyed my hair black! :) I look like my mama, haha.  Pics are up, so you might wanna go comment and let me know what you think of the new hair colour?

I'm making a 97 in my English III Honors class...which is great, considering I'm a sophomore in a junior Honors class so I must be good for something!  I'm happy though because Mrs. Brownlee is the toughest teacher in the school. :)  Knock on wood, I'll keep that grade...

Obviously I've written a number of new poems.  However, I've decided that I will not be posting any poetry on my page because most of it is personal to me.  Unless you request to see one, which I highly doubt you will, then you won't be able to see them.

Despite all the good things that have been happening, there's just as much bad.  I've been in a state of depression for a while, but I'm slowly coming out of it with the help of my friends.  I wake up every morning knowing that the sun is going to rise whether I'm here or not, and that I should just live my life.  We only get one trip around the sun, so why not take life past the limits?

Oh, one more thing.  If you're into indie music, you should give Kings of Leon ("Sex on Fire" is a favorite) and Cage the Elephant ("James Brown"...really upbeat and gives you something to bob your head to!) a listen.  Officially two of my new favorite bands. :)
