hi, i'm melanie. i enjoy being with my friends, playing the viola, listening to music, and playing tennis. chocolate is essential to my daily functioning. i'm very liberal and would gladly argue with anyone at anytime about politics. i'm really, really indecisive. i hate making decisions, and when i have to make a difficult one, i constantly question my decision. i use fate as a tool to convince myself that i'm doing the right thing. i try to not live with any regrets. that's difficult at times. i hate society and i have lost faith in humanity. yet, in life, i'd like to do something to help the society that i hate and the humanity that i have lost faith in. my favorite part of the day is when i'm lying in bed at night before i go to sleep. i love just lying under the covers and reflecting on my day. i think quite a bit. i love psycho-analyzing people, and i am really good at reading people and picking up on weird vibes and undercurrents. i like complex people. i can be manipulative at times. people tell me that i'm bitter and negative. i don't like hearing the truth because it usually hurts. sadly, i just might prefer it if people lied to me to protect me from hearing the truth. the song "iris" by the goo goo dolls is incredible. i love glittens and purses and shoes. i wear a pretty large amount of jewelry...specifically bracelets. my hair is naturally wavy and my socks never match. the tv show "house" is brilliant. i don't particularly like the united states. this country bothers be greatly in the fact that we feel as if we're better than everyone else and feel as if we're entitled to everything. i liked the atmosphere in europe a lot. everyone there just consumes tons of chill pills, and it works well for them. i love when my nail polish chips. i used to read tons, but IB english has almost ruined the hobby of reading for me. i am one of the few that loved and enjoyed reading "dom casmurro" in english. it was my favorite book of the year. 50 degrees is the ideal temperature. stars are lovely, and thursday is the best day of the week. debate it, contemplate it.
