I am a music junkie for life, no doubt!!! I dabble in everything rock, including alternative, punk, pop punk, synth-pop, hardcore & post-hc, progressive, screamo, emocore, metalcore, electronica, and more!!! (check out the bands in my fav artists list) I also listen to some hip hop music (those artists with REAL talent, not radio rap, it sucks these days!!), including Mos Def, Common, De La Soul, Talib Kweli, The Roots, Nas, and more......... Rounding out my current Top Ten favorite bands/songs (changes fairly often): 1) Underoath "Writing On The Walls", 2) Rise Against "Chamber the Cartridge", 3) Escape the Fate "There's No Sympathy For the Dead", 4) hellogoodbye "Here (In Your Arms)", 5) The Audition "Dance Hall Turn To Ghost Towns", 6) Cartel "Luckie St.", 7) The Classic Crime "The Coldest Heart", 8) The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus "In Fate's Hands", 9) Emery "Left With Alibis and Lying Eyes", & 10) Billy Talent "This Suffering"

Favorite new albums/albums anxiously awaiting!

Escape the Fate has quickly hit my top 10 with their EP, and I can't wait for the release of the full album...

Alexisonfire - Crisis (already have a copy, and words cannot describe how good it is!!) can't wait for it to hit stores, then I'll buy the official copy!

hellogoodbye - an excellent follow-up to their EP, and finally that craving for new music by them has been satisfied!! Super infectious synth-pop!

I'm not normally huge into "True" punk, but I'd have to say, the new one by Against Me is definitely worth a listen!!

The new self-titled offering by The Bronx is definitely worth the time of day. I thoroughly enjoy the song "History's Stranglers, it is seriously rockin'!!

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus - Definitely jumped rapidly into my current top 10 with "Don't Fake It"....if you haven't picked this one up, you truely are missing out on life....

Rise Against - The Sufferer & The Witness is an excellent follow-up to SSotCC...keep up the great work (Chi-town representing), and can't wait for your tour with Thursday & Billy Talent to roll through town!!

Underoath - Define the Great Line ----Ever since the release of "They're Only Chasing Safety", they have been in my top ten, and they will continue to remain there for a long time!!

Alesana - also quickly approaching my top 10....they sound very similar to Chiodos in my opinion, and that is a definite plus!

Bands That Need A New Album:
The Used, Finch (and an improvement), The Academy Is, Jimmy Eat World, Lovedrug, He Is Legend, The Postal Service (desperately!!), Relient K, and many more!!

One noteworthy band that hopefully hasn't/won't break up based in the UK is Septembre....all you fans of the former Vex Red will appreciate the music by Septembre (same members)...they released their EP "Rule 3: Conceal Your Intentions". Their song "I Am Weightless" was featured in the soundtrack for Need for Speed Underground 2, which is where I learned about what happened to Vex Red. Vex Red is still one of my favorite bands, and if you haven't heard anything by them, I suggest listening getting a copy of "Start With A Strong and Persistent Desire". Although difficult to find, it can be ordered online on Amazon.com or Artistdirect.com. Standout tracks on the album include The Closest, Can't Smile, Clone Jesus, & Cause and Solution. Please listen to one of the tracks, it is an album worth hearing for its amazing musical creativity!!
