The Band
well, my band so far..isnt going well XD. I still need a bass player, my drummer has all the necesary skills for playing...except working footpedals, and i still need an electric for my lead guitarist who may be quitting. Hey, bands suck.Oh well, at least im pretty sure i got the name, and one song down. The band is called "By Human Standards", the songs called green arrow. *sigh*, hey, maybe in a few millenia you can listen to us here on purevolume (yes, all 3 of you actually reading this). ta ta for now!
Update: i have 2 more cncepts of songs (one of which is partly written!) and one new song! If you check out the pics section you can see a band logo I made when i was bored. Yesterday i got really serious about the band, so it might only be a few months before we get a PureVolume account up! lucky you! ...or not so lucky...
Staying In touch With God..isn't Hard?
i actually just thought about this concept while I was typing this just now. weird huh? (who am i kidding, noones reading this ) Anyways, i just have really been struggling with God lately. I've been declining my Bible study, wrestling with sin (and usually not winning), and even my worship, which is usually my saving grace, has shortened in intimacy.
However, as i write this, I have to keep remembering, what can I really do to make my contact with God better? Sure, i SHOULD be living my life like christ to thank him for his great gift of eternal life, but thats got almsot nothing to do with my contact with God. As long as my spirit is focused on God I should be seeing and hearing him constantly. I shouldn't believe that because I just sinned theres going to be major consequences of being fgar from God, hmiliated, and miserable. After all, its notas if when we accepted Jesus, it was because we were broken, not fixed. Why now should we have to be fixed to be in contact with God? If anything, being broken is what brings us closer to God.
Of course, we shouldn't just sin, believeing that well see God because of it. We should always continue to walk blamelessly in the lord, pleasnig him in the worship that is our life. However, thats just to please him. We can't get the mentality that it will somehow bring us closer to God. Where in the bible does it say that works are what bring us close to God? Lets not believe it than! Only God decides where we are together, lets not stress about being close to God. We already have enough trouble merely trying to praise him :P.
