Recently I was at the doctors waiting for x-rays and I was sitting by a bunch of young, yes young men who were in the Marines. They were all talking about how they broke their fingers/arms/hands among themselves and then one guy said that they were probably just going to put another cast on his almost-healed arm so no one would have to worry about it while he was in Iraq. The conversation between the men got quiet for a moment and then one guy spoke up and said, "Yea, I just got back". Then they started back up with a casual conversation about broken bones.
These men, despite their course language, were young and sweet men all fighting for our country and putting their lives on the line to help our country and Iraq. I had heard about it on the news, but you know it never really hit me that hard as it did when I was literally sitting right next to them. It is amazing what they are doing whether they are in the Marines, Navy, Air Force, or Army. Some of them might have joined the military because they thought they had no place anywhere else and others might have joined just because they wanted to serve our country. Either way, it is amazing, I say again, what they are doing.
I still don't know the real purpose for writing this blog but I just want you guys to realize that these young men are all around us.
