Well, I'm fairly sure I have the wierdest taste in music. I LOVE screamo stuff, but unlike EVERYONE else who listens to screamo that I've talked to, I don't like metal all that much. Everyone else who listens to screamo seems to like all the metal/death metal/whatever bands where they just go as loud as possible and scream and have all those deep voices and whatever. And thats all well and good. I'll listen to it. But I'd much rather listen to a punk/screamo band than a metal/screamo band. Especially if the punk/screamo band doesn't just play their punk style screamo as loud as they possibly can. Once again, not the worst thing that can happen, but not the best, either. Bands that do this well include This Came From High School and Carter Beats the Devil. The type of bands I prefer are bands that can write amazing lyrics, and make them sound good when they're singing them. After the Tragedy is a perfect example of this. Anyways, just check out some of the bands I have listed on my favourites. Or, check out the best (in my opinion) of my favourites: Underoath, Drop Dead, Gorgeous, This Came From High School, After The Tragedy, Carter Beats The Devil, Screaming Monkey Boner, and Five Stars For Failure. Theres tons of other good ones, I'm just too lazy to list them all here, and those are all I can think of right at this moment. Enjoy. Or else.
