RIP Mom
What if all of our lives are just part of someone's dream? They are sleeping, and imagining exactly everything we do, each day and night, for our entire lifetime...One person's dream! And when we die, their dream just continues, without the slightest hiccup in the process of everything. Our lives, just all in someone's imagination...And everything we do is actually nothing...nothing matters at all
Better yet...what if our live is just part of one of our own dreams? Maybe we are dreaming about ourselves, and we all will eventually wake up, frightened by everything in our head that has just happened...The end of our life in the dream, what we are living right now, would wake us up in our real life. A scary thought, but who says that it's wrong? There's no way for us to know what we are, or what we are doing here on this planet. Maybe after we die, we'll know...But until then, how are we going to live our lives?
Safely, without a bit of danger? Or are we going to grasp the most valuable thing that we have, and enjoy it to its fullest? Be who we want to be, take risks, and just live an all-around great life. It's all left up to each and everyone of us....
Ok
So my teeth got all fixed up nicely by the oral surgeon
they don't hurt too much anymore, just some tingling
...But we're still looking for the two guys who jumped us
I'll keep ya updated
Next thing...
There was a lot of snow today
bunches
and oodles
and i shoveled for one hour tonight
...ended up with blisters on my hands
There was no school today
...and hopefully none tomorrow...idk
And for the uber good news: I got in to Seton Hall!!!
For those of you who don't know, it is my number 1 college choice, and is located in Northern New Jersey
Besides getting accepted, they're also giving me $15,000 a year...that $60,000 total!!
Woooooooooo!
In case you haven't heard
On Friday night, around 9:45
Me, Albert Scardera, and Matt Blair got jumped on 3rd Ave., about a block from Matt's house
There were 2 black kids
they took money from Albert, and pushed him to the ground
One pushed Matt to the ground, kicked him a few times, and took his cell phone
The other one, about 250 pounds, cornered me, punched me in the back of my head twice, took my utility knife, and then punched me straight in the mouth, almost completely knocking out two of my teeth
We got back to Matt's house and called 911, and we ended up all going to the hospital
I was in the worst condition...I went to the dentist yesterday so he could bond my teeth in place so they don't fall out, and on Monday, I get to see the oral surgeon
I won't be in school for a few days, but if you hear any talking about who it might have been, let me or someone else know
Thanks for all of your concern
I love you all
-Ian
Once again, our Boy's Indoor Track team is Colonial Council champs...
Go Lansingburgh!!
Third year in a row for the team, but this was only my first year running for the team
I've been a bit sick the past week, with a doozy of an ear infection that made it impossible for me to run because i had no sense of balance...
I got in one good practice in the past week and a half, which did not make me think i would perform too well today
I ended up in 2 races: the 4x800m relay and the 1000m
4x800m: 2:23.8 personal, 9:18.x team
That was good enough for 1st place in the Colonial Council, and 2nd overall at the meet only to LaSalle, who ran a 9:17.x and is in the Big 10.
So i got a gold medal for being on the winning team....sweet deal
Then came the 1000...which I had never performed well in before
My personal record: 3:12.x (ughh)
So I run today, and I actually had good competition....people i could push myself with...
I was seeded 6th in the race, but i pushed my way to 5th at the end of the race, barely edging out a runner from Ravena
My time? Just a PR of 3:05.x...
haha...I improved by more then 7 seconds
Wicked crazy
Yeah...the rest of our team did great
We ended up beating Cobleskill 176-120, i believe, with the rest of the CC teams finishing after that...quite a convincing win
Now, coming up, are the Engineer Games and then Sectionals
I'm just hoping to improve everytime I run
Albert Scardera had an amazing meet, considering he's in 8th grade, placing 5th in the 1600m and 3rd in the 3200m races...and he's still got 4 years left!
Peace for now
P.S....I'm still sorry that I missed All-County Choir...I hope you all had fun, and I'm sure you sounded great!
