Bonjour!
How many of us in this class today, really want to be in school during the summer? As a college student, I would much rather be out exploring the world! As I am sure that all of you understand. But unfortunately, circumstances prevent us from vacationing in a far more exotic atmosphere. So allow me if you will, to take your mind on a trip, a trip to Beautiful Parrie!
Through this mind-imagined trip I will highlight, what I believe to be the two main points of a trip to Paris. Those two points are Paris nightlife as well as her scenery! And since I know that you are all excited, Yes, I will start with the nightlife first.
The nightlife in the heart of Paris is as spectacular to imagine, as it is to experience. If you are into the club scene, you will have no problem finding somewhere to hang out down on the streets with the locals. The chances are you will also be able to order dinner while watching a series of entertainers. Most clubs offer dinner with the price of your admission. The clubs around town also understand that there is a possibility that you decided to eat before venturing out for the night. No problem there, Several clubs are happy to just let you order a drink, while you kick back and relax. In a typical club setting, after eating dinner, or having a drink, anywhere from 2 up to 4 entertainers will grace the presence of the stage. This is usually done in a comedy style. (Need to Cite Source) Oh, how the French love to laugh. But with that many comedians in one sitting, its pretty hard not too.
Not too thrilled with eating a sitting? Have a need to move your body? Head on over to Les Bains. The Discover America website says Les Bains remains the venue for star spotting and home to the beautiful people. They also claim that this place is packed every night, but tourists with money to spend often strike it lucky at the door! They use only the best DJs, who are required to have the latest craze, musically speaking of course.
Now what about those Drag Queens out there? Are you a person who loves fish-net stockings, the feel of a long blonde wig, and the look of bright red lipstick? Well Le Queen is the club for you! The Wikipedia website says that world renowned DJ Dimitri helped popularize this typically gay bar. Le Queen now has rather large straight oriented following. So hop, prance, or tap those six inch heels right on over and have a blast all night long.
Now, for the part of the trip that you can tell your mom about, Which I really dont recommend adding in the part about the spiked heels, Mothers tend to worry about stuff like that. But you can tell her all about the scenery.
Of course the most obvious site is, of course, the Eiffel tower! You cannot think of Paris, and forget the Eiffel Tower. According to the virtual tourist website it stands at a whopping 300m high. And thats tall folks! Tourist love to visit this monumental site, and for a small fee can climb the steps to the first and second floors. For a slightly larger fee, you are permitted to the third floor, where you are able to see all of Paris, and then some says the virtual tour website.
Not a stair climber, thats okay, when you think of the great cities in France we see the artsy coffee drinkers right? Well this is were the Louvre comes in to play. Now I must warn you, remember when you were in the third grade? And your teacher would take you to the museum? And she would say that all familiar phrase, Dont Touch Anything! I strongly recommend the hands in pocket rule. As we now know is frowned upon in this class, but take heart to it in the Louvre! The Virtual tourist website describes it as HUGE.....and never-ending! It's like a cavern full of treasures with long corridors and a maze of rooms. This website also feels that you will get lost several times, so I think you should pick up a map at the front door!
Okay, so youve toured Paris now, But you are thinking about that trip to Scotland you passed up last week, and feel a twinge of sadness, Have No Fear! Located in the streets of Paris, France, is a real life Scottish Pub! So if you are tired of smell cheese, Step into this quaint little bar, and smell the whiskey. According to the Auld Alliance Pub website the crew of this bar are trained in the art of Whiskey-Nosing. This is just basically smelling the whiskey. Because to the Scottish a whiskey is not only judged on taste, but the smell as well.
So I hope that I have help do any justice to this wonderful city. It truly is a very interesting place to visit, I hope that you all get a chance to go one day. I just hope that you will be able to use the information heard here today, if you ever do find yourself, flying over the Eiffel Tower one day.
