Stop!

Have you ever looked up and just said wow. Like you just saw some glimpse of whats really out there for yourself? Have you looked at the beautiful full clouds above? Or how about have you looked out at the sunset in all its vast colors? Or even have you looked at the stars in all their glory?

I dont think many people today do... Today in our fast paced lives, we rarely stop and look. There use to be a saying "Stop and smell the roses..." this saying today has evolved to "Hurry you'll be late for work. Oh! And dont forget to grab some fast food while on your way!" Its saddening to think that so many of us people have forgotten such simple joy's.

With new forms of entertainment coming out every single day we hardly take the time to see the most simple joy of entertainment. If a word is simply a word, but a picture is worth a million words, then what is the view of one of the most beautiful sunsets? Infinite?! I would say so...

Now imagine if you will, its a cold dark winter night. There is no moon, the clouds are now clearing up and the sky is brightening with the glow of a thousand stars.... Do you think you would really stop to gaze and ponder? or do you think you would be too busy rushing to car to get the heat going so you can get home in comfort...

I remember when I was 11 just before my brother was about to leave on his mission. My family and I had got to lake powell one last final time before his departure. We pulled up to a beach late at night and gotten ready for sleep. My eldest brother Jer and myself had climbed up on the bow of our boat. We laid there staring at what looked like a billion gleaming stars. There was no moon there was no clouds. Everything was clear and alive. We sat and stared all night long. We pondered the mysteries of the universe and life. Simple thoughts of what life would be like in the not far future. It was a simple and plain joy but the most great I have ever felt....

I recently had the same feeling with my good buddy jordan as we were working Idaho. We sat looking at the milky way, we talked about the amazing things that were held for us in eternity. It is a memory that I will hold to myself forever, you may have some that are similar. You may even remember how great the feeling was... So remember look up and look for the blessing we are given, instead of sitting and watching television go outside and look up. Maybe you will see something that strikes to the very soul of your body and tells you that you know...

To just stop and enjoy.
