Broken Glass and Wedding Rings, Part 3

Posted October 17, 2006

**The date was actually the 18th, but I changed it to keep the entries in order. They were out for some reason...

Last one, guys.
If you're reading this thanks a lot. I mean it.
That leaves WEDDING RINGS.
Yep.
I'm getting married.
...
...
...
HA! Freaked you out? Uh, I didn't? That was LAME? I'm TOO YOUNG to MARRY?! Oh. Kay.
I was told what I thought was a HILARIOUS(ly sweet) story on the way home from Taco Bell today.
Don't know when the story took place.
I heard about this man that someone I know met. He was masculine and dark-haired.
My friend asked him what he did for a living.
He said he was an RN.
Ha.
So my friend continued to talk to the guy, and he said he had a sweetheart. Cool.
This RN's FRIEND had a sweetheart, too. The guy and the gal had been dating for four years... They were totally committed, and the guy had NEVER POPPED THE QUESTION. Sweet thing is that the girl never brought it up. She never seemed to get obviously impatient... She never left him or cheated (that I know of) on him, when this relationship had nothing keeping the together but each other.
Unknown to the gal, the guy had bought a ring two years earlier and was keeping it in a safe-box. Every once in a while he would pull it out and shake the dust off. He would admire the ring, think about asking his sweetheart to marry him.
He'd decided not to for two years.
Yet the two were OBVIOUSLY devoted to each other.
After four years, the two ought to get married.
I just thought that their devotion was sweet, and yet the guy was too shy to ask.
Funny, isn't it?
