A Thought for Today. (Death is not funny, Life is beautiful)

Posted June 8 | Leave a Comment

War is gross. Value life. Death is not funny. But it can be glorious, as well as a cause for celebration, if you believe on the grace of Jesus Christ. We are saved through faith in Christ's full atonement for our sins. FULL. Still, death is not something we should take too lightly. We were watching videos in history... World wars and things. Not pretty. It makes me want to cry, and give hugs to everyone I know. Let them know that life matters. On top of it all, I saw one little clip of SAW t… read more

The World Thinks...

Posted June 8 | Leave a Comment

Heaven is easily conceivable, and Hell is just an expletive. (The World Thinks...) ~~A one sentence poem I wrote for English. I ended up using a different one, though I still see this as holding a lot of truth. Walking with Him, ~b read more

Death? I Think Not.

Ahhh! Hey, if anybody reads these, I just wanted everyone to know that I have not fallen off the face of the earth, I am still in existence. And my hair will soon have less existence. Gah. Anyway, I have some stuff I'd like to post up here, I made some cool stuff in photoshop and I'll put it in my pics and also at www.flickr.com/photos/agatecalledbeautiful I wrote some one sentence poems the other day, I'll post some of them when I get the time. Ricky, hope you're doin well, got your commen… read more

Samson

I kind of forgot about this song, it's pretty amusing... Enjoi. Me and Samson go to the store, and old Samson leaves craters in the floor. Me and Samson walk around town. Clumsy Samson knocked several buildings down. Me and Samson, we're best of friends. Me and Samson until the end! Me and Samson go on a double date, but you know it didn't turn out that great. Me and my date are romantically impaired, but old Samson, he lost all of his hair. Me and Samson, we're best of friends. Me and Sam… read more

The Choice Of Every Lost Soul...

Posted April 12 | Leave a Comment

...can be expressed in the words "Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven." However my soul has been found by one greater than me. I am no longer lost. My joy is found in serving Him. Not reigning over something. It's so simple. We tend to overcomplicate it. It's not about us. Never should have been. It's about Him. And by living for and in HIM (not what he does for us or the blessings he gives, although those are wonderful things), knowing who Jesus Christ is, we find our joy. And He… read more

Life Means So Much

Posted March 31 | Leave a Comment

Every day is a journal page; every man holds a quill and ink. There's plenty of room for writing in all we do and believe and think. So will you you compose a curse or will today bring a blessing? Fill the page with a rhyming verse or some random sketching? Teach us to count the days; teach us to make the days count. Lead us in better ways because somehow our souls forgot: life means so much. Everyday is a bank account and time is our currency. No one's rich, nobody's poor. We get twenty-fou… read more

His Dedication

Posted March 22 | Leave a Comment

~His Dedication~ (Written on January 28th, 2007) I think I have it all together. That's when it hits me the hardest. Like a brick to my face. Mayday. Meltdown. I feel like I know nothing at all, Like I'm cut out for the most unfulfilling "thing": Nothing. Get behind me, satan! Stop feeding me your lies! Putting one foot in front of the other, I begin to unwind. I see how foolish my thoughts were, Oh, God, rid me of my hopeless cycle! I stumble. I fall. I pity myself too much to even atte… read more

Love Vs. Love

Posted March 15 | Leave a Comment

I just don't know anymore. I thought I knew, I believed I heard God speaking clearly, But the devil and God are raging inside of me. God, speak! Or at least comfort me, Tell me that what I'm doing is right. I miss you, oh, I miss you, But I feel that I need to learn to live without you by my side. God is by my side, And that's enough. But oh, I miss you. Sitting together with smiles on our young, naive faces, Never once imagining that this could bring anything but joy. We say that we can't… read more

The Winter Meets The Summer (Fooled)**

Posted February 27 | Leave a Comment

So I wrote this baby a while back... Yes, my baby. Well, technically God's baby, I just had the privilege of writing it. Lol. There was something I was going through (pretty easy to figure out, lol,) and I just felt so much inside I jotted it all down on paper. I made minimal changes to get to the final. My influences for this work? Life, events ordained by Jesus Christ, the book of Psalms, and the lyrics of mewithoutYou. Hope you guys enjoy it. :D ~The Winter Meets The Summer (Fooled)~ I a… read more

Unashamed

I can't believe I didn't post this... I thought I had... :S I wrote this a while back. I told a friend I'd put this on here for her... So I'm going to. :) I don't think it's really a poem, 'cuz there's not any poetic structure to it. But hey, let's not split hairs... :P ~Unashamed~ As I travel down the path of rightousness, I often glance at distractions and numerous people on the other routes as I pass them by. Something in me feels darkly drawn to them, And it looks like I'm missing out.… read more

Imperfections=Good

I'm glad nobody's perfect. It makes us all so much more relateable. If the world had no bad, how would we know what was good? Would there BE a good? Life would be boring. And we'd never need anyone else. Nobody else would ever need US. That does NOT sound like a fun place to be. Because there is bad, there is good. read more

Broken Glass and Wedding Rings, Part 1

Posted October 19 | Leave a Comment

Cool title... Anywayz. Yes, ON TO THE TASK AT HAND! Telling you about the last week. :) About... 8 or 9 days ago, I had the hiccups. REALLY BAD hiccups. RIGHT BEFORE KARATE. What horrible timing. So as it happens, I tried to get rid of them... My dad has this weird way of getting rid of them that always works for him... You lay down, you suck in a big, deep breath, so that air fills your lungs and your stomach, and you... EXPLODE! Well, yeah, that'd get rid of the hiccups, but if you do you g… read more

Broken Glass and Wedding Rings, Part 2

Posted October 18 | Leave a Comment

Yeah, I split this up into multiple entries cuz I thought, "If I saw a really long blog entry, I wouldn't want to read it all." So I'm dividing it into small chunks. Chunks. Ew. That always makes me think of nasty things. Although that's interesting, it's irrelevant... SO let's get back to my week. I broke some glass a couple days back... Here's what happened. I felt really silly. Morning came. Actually it was probably closer to AFTERNOON. Traces of sunlight shattered through the window and I… read more

Broken Glass and Wedding Rings, Part 3

**The date was actually the 18th, but I changed it to keep the entries in order. They were out for some reason... Last one, guys. If you're reading this thanks a lot. I mean it. That leaves WEDDING RINGS. Yep. I'm getting married. ... ... ... HA! Freaked you out? Uh, I didn't? That was LAME? I'm TOO YOUNG to MARRY?! Oh. Kay. I was told what I thought was a HILARIOUS(ly sweet) story on the way home from Taco Bell today. Don't know when the story took place. I heard about this man that someone… read more
