She cries,
She lies,
No one ever knew why She cuts,
She bleeds,
A friend was all she'd ever need. She made,
A mistake,
But she was never fake.
She knew,
How to love,
But it was never enough Her heart, It was broken,
From a familiar face.
She would never,
Again,
Want to suffer that disgrace.
She was lovely,
She was beautiful,
But never knew it herself.
She is,
My best friend,
No matter what life she was delt.

Those simple words confuse me
For I thought I knew what they meant
Until I lost and won some
My love today is for rent

Those simple words I know so well
I wish for you to know
That just liking someone is so different
So Ill say it real slow

Those are the words of a million feelings
My hopes and dreams and joys
Little girls writing love letters
Chasing after boys

Those are the words I say to you
I whisper them to your heart
You turn and look back at me
