The Nihilist

The sun is in my pocket now

And still I can't see the black

Stretching the boundaries lost

Don't think I'll be coming back

I've waited in the pool of my disdain

Taking notice to the wind

Flowing swiftly in it's swirling pain

My mirror laughs softly in my ear

And I've fought the idea in my head

Slowly sinking back without a trace of fear

I still look for a reflection

My life is living in crazy

For everything gone is what I lack

Broken down from lost promises

My wings have flown away

Running alone up on my own plateau

From the beginning of the end of the day

It's time to fade away

My smile is a pale white slate

To send away the emptiness

Deadstar

Falling from the midnight canvas Deadstar's the dazzling sparkle in your eye The memory of this moment left me in a trance And I say I've seen the light! Becoming the comet smashing the ground This hole that you see This is what the Deadstar used to be And everything you see, Volunteers for this unity Of time and space The place where it begins to erase This friction created from this Began Deadstar's journey to eternal bliss Pay no attetion to this hole Deadstar shines no light even when exposed As the canvas fades to perfect black Gives the Deadstar no reason to look back Here melding in the darkness The Deadstar's environment surely crumlbes Those ficticious fairy-tale beliefs and emptiness Together as one they comply Making wishes on dead stars in the sky Nothing but a simple prayer Just to see if he was ever there Deadstar in the sky Ponders in the minds of men to find the why As the formulas equate Absorbing the receeding inevitablity of our fate For that one shining chance Place the bet on our circumstance This is how the story goes Watching as our time unfolds Deadstar dying out without a word Staring into the amorphous blurr Reaching out to grab the light Deadstar's gonna make it all alright Feeling the current of the flow Everything slowly becoming known The match to find the spark The flame to make it's mark And the fires that burn us into life The end of all that seems to be Falling short of ultimate reality, although Deadstar's found his chance to be free And maybe, just maybe Deadstar will shine for eternity

One change closer to nothingness...

At the point where the spine melts away The cavity lets out the decay And all that's left is what I see When I'm standing right in front of you A smile led to my downfall before And I've seen what you've become So don't look at me now The poison's running thin So don't look at me now I'm denouncing everything The formulation of my heart and soul Was destroyed by the fact that you have no control And you think you're fine and okay So fucking stubborn to listen to what I have to say And I'm no longer trying to talk Seeing you were the first to get up and run away Don't you fucking laugh When you speak my name behind my back For I speak of you in a different light Not deserving your verbal attack But now everything you were Is rotting away now In the point where your life was the manifestation of decay In a settled sun-filled sky An open canvas of baby blue I've seen the envisionment of what you've become As I sit here far away from your reach And I can still see those eyes, staring blankly and numb You changed yourself and everything you are And I didn't see myself making it this far Don't fucking laugh now that you've won You didn't fucking earn any of this trophy And you'll learn when my time has come So sit back and feel the breeze As I scream so hard at you That the trembling starts at the knees And I scream myself out of existence So when will all of this end? Why did you put us here? The absent one

"I've got this feeling as if I were choking!" He screamed aloud Watching only as the color slowly drained from his face Too late to turn back after the mistakes The only one affected in this place Scream through me, my absent one Jumping from void to void to taste oblivion "I feel as though I can no longer use my eyes!" Building up tears as the light of the world dies "I am the only one, fearing only the absent one!" No longer in denial of his mortal suffocation Freed from the grasp of obscurity? Or led forward through mediocracy? Just let it be, set it free, still more pieces of me In all of this to divulge They took every weakness exposed And in the end they will unify the sun All on the wim of the absent one "No longer with these ears can I receive the signal!" Leaving the absent one marked in denial Even with the balancing of the sun and moon This glorious effigy will expose his rule Absolute, staring directly into the sun Gathering all of the stars for my favor Just to get my shot at the absent one "I will not follow for nothing at all!" Looking on with blind eyes to catch the fall

Denizens of denial

For all of God's grace and divinity He chose the world to see infinity And crawling on our knees forward We stood to look upright And see the towering masses of grey, cold giants Standing motionless, reflecting gazes from one another The first step forward was on the blind path Naive and unassured, time still moved on Throughout the body counts and tombstone filled gnolls We drudge onward in pursuit of reason Yet, we deny our purpose I do believe that to be our own mortal treason To look back and see nothing And to look forward grants fallacy But no one looks to the present for truth and honesty So everything we believe begins to fade away Mixed up in the pixels, a gigantic sea of stars Glimpsed from above looking down To where the grey lifeless giants sleep Forever caught up in the riot Of life buzzing continually around them Just another placeholder in that moment's memory And it seems life is not meant to be grasped Just as the stars elude us in the sky We are on the edge of the mirror Trying to grab what really isn't in front of us Thus, man found neccessity in horror The true conflict being the reality they have created It's gone on too long not to be debated Incessantly we never stop And that first blind step off the cliff was greeted by the drop
