being an artist can be complicated

Being a singer/songwriter can be complicated...especially when you are a sr. in high school and your mother is still running your life...my mom won't let me do ANYTHING that will help my music career at all right now...I scheduled a gig at Cafe Bueno on April 21 and she said I can't do it because I may have to miss a soccer game to make it to my show...but I don't really care about soccer...when is she gonna see that? God is my life, and music is next in my life...not soccer...so why does she have to do this to me? I'm not canceling my show...and maybe she will change her mind.
