Its my birthday!!! :)
Its only been a few hours into the day and already im having an amazing birthday!!! Lets hope it stays this way. :)
The Scene
I miss the old scene. The music was great and people actually showed up to shows and rocked out. The kids now just stand there and watch. Its sad.
I miss when A Wilhelm Scream was still Smacking Isiah and they'd play at the Flywheel. I miss just hanging out with them and talking about the Goonies.
I miss West Beverly. Now Greg Wood is the lead singer of Punchline and doing great, but I miss that good old pop punk for CT.
I miss the fucking Cappuccino Jellybeans. Ska but with a teeny bit of hardcore mixed in and everyone used to go crazy for them. Now the lead singer is the singer of In Pieces...or used to be...i dont keep track anymore.
And to tell you the truth I really miss Blind Luck Music...even though they seem to have reunion show every 6 months, and I miss the Skeptics. Even though they are Us Against The Archers now and they are some of my best friends, I still miss how excited everyone used to get and how it seemed to always turn into an all day all night sort of thing. But the scene died as soon as they all left.
I mean look at the Modern Day Saint, they were really good when Dan was still in the band, but his unfortunate accident left the band lacking his awesome voice. :(
Most of these local bands are trying too hard to be like Fall Out Boy or any of the other bands that are "trendy" right now. and personally that is boring.
The music scene has gone to shit and something needs to change. Maybe I need to teach these little kids how to rock. hahaha
The good thing is...I can at least drink during the shows so its not THAT bad. :)

November 18th- Billy Talent, Rise Against, Thursday, and Circa Survive.

Warped Tour
Was Friggin amazing!!!! I went basically to see 30 seconds to mars, who were added to the tour for a couple of days. Jared was amazing, as well as the rest of the band. Welll.....I def met the band and they seemed really chill.
