Hey kids, I'm Jay. In case you care to know a small fraction of the being that is me----

My favourite hobbies include:
Reading, Writing prose (novels, short stories, and essays) and poetry (poetry and song lyrics), Drawing (media: pencil, coloured pencil, pastels, and charcoal) and painting, Thinking (philosophy or even just letting my imagination run), Acting, Learning (I love knowledge...)

My hero is C.S. Lewis--that man is amazing. My other favourite writers include:
J.R.R. Tolkien, Edgar Allan Poe, H.G. Wells

Some of my favourite movies:
Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, The Patriot, Bourne Identity/Supremacy/Ultimatum, Spiderman, X-Men, Batman

On a more personal note:

My comic...

This is completely unrelated to music, but most of my blogs are so... I'm writing a comic about a dead guy. Check it out! http://AugustPsylence.deviantart.com/art/Can-t-think-of-a-title-76931209

Meh...my head is spinning...

Such is my life. Filled with its ups and downs, as is any other's. We are all basically the same even in our differences, but all different in our sameness.

Life--full of its expected surprises and unforseen patterns. Yes, we see indeed the earth spins round and revolves around the sun which revolves about our galaxy which moves about the vast expanse of universe.

Fiction is more familiar than non-fiction and reality is more outlandish than fantasy. For books are based after events conceived by the minds of men, when life poses numerous unfathomable possibilities. But we find it all the same.

Day to day, season to season is just the earth spinning on its axis, revolving round the sun, and our differences are all the same and in our similarities we're different. Can we make history? Can we embrace the present before it passes by? The future's clearer when it's now, but then it's not the future.

Life--up, down, spinning around. Tell me what will happen/what will we do next.

Your World

You came into my world,
a new story unfurled.
Ideas and dreams
like golden sun-lit beams
fall through my darkened skies.
A new world 'fore my eyes!

But time it soon passes,
and days fly in masses.
So I behold a change
as you become estranged.
You made a place your own
and named it as your home.

A bending road to take
to this home you make.
I almost lost my way,
for 'twas dark in the day.
The sun's choked out
by clouds of self-doubt.
The clouds you made for you
are not God-given blue.

The earth gives me a shock--
the grass as sharp as rock!
How hardened are you feet
that thorns become your seat?
How callous is you skin
that stone shards can't pierce in?
How numb are you to pain
that you'd create this plain?

A mountain I now climb,
remembering old times.
I gaze across the sky,
memories passed in my mind.
But those day now are past.
Will you cruel time out last?

I find my fears are true--
I behold the new you.
What happened to the child
that once was meek and mild?
And where is now the boy
who possessed flawless joy?
So as I reminisce,
where went your innocence?

Your white heart has turned to red,
and vain dreams fill your head.
The child became a man,
became a child again,
though of a different kind,
of a corrupted mind
and heart of vanity.
Oh, can you not now see?
By "growing up" you fell
into this self-filled well.
You're drowning in yourself,
but you won't heed help.

Did you forget the One
who made the perfect sun?
He by His selfless ways
your debt chose to pay,
for you He gave His all,
still in your pride you fall
and in the dust decay
in the very dirt you made.

How can a heaven sent
be so hell-bent?

The Epic Struggle: The Creation Vs The Creator

We as humans have a fascination with--and a terror of--science. It is used in our lives, but could technology become more powerful than our intention? We have always wanted to improve our knowledge and creativity. God gave us this desire. But we fear our own creations, our own scientific knowledge. From novels like Frankenstein and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde to movies like I, Robot and The Matrix our terror of our own invention consumes our minds. Mary Shelley lived in a time of technological advancements, but warned others of the fact that mortals should not play God in their experiments. As a result of these ideas she wrote Frankenstein, her most famous work. The story is about a scientist named Dr. Frankenstein who attempts what men have pondered for generations. He cheats death. He pieces together a dead man and proceeds to make him come to life. But he finds that what he created is a monster. In the film The Matrix highly developed computer programs and machines take over the world and use human beings as a source of power by hooking them up to life support and controlling them mentally by using the Matrix--the life we know is just an imagination, a computer program, designed by the machines to control the unaware human batteries. Basically humans invent robots beyond their own capacity and are overthrown. These nightmares plague our dreams and haunt our scientific advances.
We fear what we dont understand, but in our quest for more understanding we step into the perilous unknown. We create for good, but as we are fallen so are our creations. We rebel and are so paranoid of revolution by the works of our own hands. How far will our intelligence take us before we come to realize it as vanity and foolishness?
It is ironic how God created us to be good and perfect, and we ruined it by disobeying him. Rebellion is in our sinful nature, a nature by our own might is impossible to overcome. We the creation rebelled against the creator. And now we fear our own creation turning on us. Just a little taste of our own medicine, isnt it? Hm. How about that?

Nameless One (song)

[Verse 1]
Your silhouette comes from the east.
The streams of light guide your feet.
And though I don't know who you are
I feel you in my very soul.
And though you are now very far
Someday you will make me whole.

[Chorus]
In my dreams I still can't see your face,
But it seems I can feel your embrace.
And when I close my eyes
I feel your heart against mine.
Oh, maybe someday,
How I for the day!
You will come for me, Nameless One.
Please come before the setting sun.

[Verse 2]
I feel your arms wrapped around me
Comforting me in tragedy.
I hear your voice float o'er the air,
Feel your gentle breath on my cheek.
Oh, I long for you to come, to care,
'cause you're the only one I'll seek.

[Chorus]
In my dreams I still can't see your face,
But it seems I can feel your embrace.
And when I close my eyes
I feel your heart against mine.
Oh, maybe someday,
How I for the day!
You will come for me, Nameless One.
Please come before the setting sun.

[Verse 3]
And even now when I'm alone
When naught else can be known,
There's one thing I know is true
It will be for eternity
The only thing I will hold to,
Oh, you know, it's you and me!

[Chorus]
In my dreams I still can't see your face,
But it seems I can feel your embrace.
And when I close my eyes
I feel your heart against mine.
Oh, maybe someday,
How I for the day!
You will come for me, Nameless One.
Please come before the setting sun.
