Bands hanging it all up
It seems like there have been quite a bit of bands deciding to call it quits in the past few months. I think the one that totally caught me off guard was when Boy Sets Fire announced it last week simply because they had just come out with a new cd which was great and were just about to head out on the Warped Tour. Another band that also broke up that same week was Acceptance and that one didn't shock me as much just because I hadn't heard anything about them in awhile. To top it all off Death From Above 1979 ended that week by announcing their break up. The Suicide Machines was another favorite band that has decided to retire in the last few months and that is a shame because they were so good. I guess the more bands that start to pop up means the more bands that are bound to break up.
Skipping The Northwest
Why does it always seem like a lot of bands skip the Pacific Northwest when they go on tour? I have even noticed a few times where a band will play a show in San Francisco and then go up to Vancouver BC and not even stop in Seattle or Portland. It is just exciting to see one of your favorite bands touring and then just get let down to see that they are not coming to your town. Well on the plus side Pennywise is coming in October and playing in both Portland and Seattle, but not California so yay!!!!

music... Pennywise is amazing. Do you like irish-punk
at all? Kinda like Dropkick Murphy\'s, Flogging Molly,
etc? If so then you gotta listen to
Vandon Arms if you haven\'t already... good old
